3M Speedglas Black Welding Helmet 100 with Auto Darkening Filter 100V helps provide eye and face protection for worker safety while welding. The helmet comes ready to use with a lens offering three sensitivity settings: 1) Normal for most types of welding both indoors and outdoors, 2) A setting for when other welders are working nearby, and 3) A setting for low-current or stable arc welding.

Auto Darkening Filter Reacts Quickly After Striking an Arc

The Speedglas 100V lens also features five user-selectable dark shades, from shade 8 through shade 12, and a light shade of 3. The auto darkening filter quickly darkens after striking an arc to maintain optimal viewing. The auto darkening filter also reduces the need to flip the viewing lid, which can be stressful on the neck and a distraction while welding. The viewing area provides a field of view that allows the welder to see the work in progress with minimal obstruction. This welding helmet comes in a classic black color. Recommended welding applications include metal fabrication, assembly, mechanical and metal repair.

One Helmet Works for Three Types of Welding

This fully assembled welding helmet with ADF (Auto Darkening Filter) offers sensitivity adjustments for use with most Stick (arc welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding applications. Answer:	Yes, this is a good option for welding outside, however any welding helmet with an autodarkening filter may be challenged with direct sunlight. Shielding your work area with a welding curtain is helpful. If that is not possible, you may want to consider one of the new passive lenses that are available for the 9100. Answer:	I don't know much about the part numbers, but this model does have side windows. Every 9000 series hood has them, I believe.

Answer:	There is a hose hook up in the back of the shield that exits inside the top of the inside of the face shield. As long as you have good air flow the mask is comfortable to wear. Without airflow the mask is hot and hard to breathe.

Answer:	I do not know where it is made. Now that I have had the chance to use this helmet for several days I would not recommend buying due to the poor quality of the head band. It keeps loosening up and is difficult to reattach the straps that keep it tight. If fact, I took the muffs off and put them on my old helmet.
Question:	Does the wire mesh come off so I could see clearly thru the plastic
Answer:	Hello, The order comes with two, 1 mesh and 1 clear plastic. You can switch off to use either or, the mesh or the plastic visor.
Question:	What type of sweat band does it have and is it replaceable
Answer:	Hi Alex. Actually, it's doesn't come with a sweat band but it does have a thin cushion that absorbs the sweat and it can be removed. The cushion is thin enough that you can wear your own personal sweat band underneath. I hope this information was helpful. Thank you!

The 3M Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6500 Series helps provide workers with respiratory protection in harsh, dirty work environments against airborne contaminants when used with approved 3M cartridges and filters. This facepiece combines comfort, durability, and stability with a firm, lightly textured silicone faceseal and strong body construction. The proprietary quick latch design offers an easy, one-hand touch drop-down mechanism for putting the facepiece on and taking it off while moving in and out of contaminated areas. The quick latch also eliminates the need to remove a hardhat or faceshield when lowering or raising the respirator. When properly fitted and used with approved 3M cartridges and filters, this respirator helps provide respiratory protection in workplaces at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). While being the lightest silicone 3M half facepiece, it is still rugged enough to withstand long hours and extreme conditions. The resilient silicone faceseal offers an extended facepiece life, even keeping its shape in high-heat environments.

Innovative design features include a valve cover that helps to direct exhaled breath and moisture downward and 3M’s proprietary Cool Flow Valve that helps to make breathing easier. Answer:	Lumen measurement has been abused for years as a way of rating flashlights. It's safe to say that this particular flahlight when used with a 18500 lithium battery is sufficiently bright and fairly long lasting. I did buy a similar flashlight on Amazon that uses a 26650 lithium battery that is brighter and a little heavier/larger. The Letmy flashlight is very similar to the ones being advertised on TV that sell for twice as much.

Answer:	I don't know of an existing use for the pattern but I believe it is of the LED bulb.

Answer:	You may want to see your doctor about that.... Yes the head on the flashlight is wobbly. It's not a great quality light

Step 1

Place the respirator over the mouth and nose, with bottom straps unfastened. Place the top strap over your head, placing the head cradle on the crown of your head.

Step 2

Grasp the straps, place them at the back of the neck and hook them together.

Step 3

Adjust strap tension by pulling ends until a secure fit is obtained. Balance strap tension by adjusting the top and bottom strap buckles. Do not overtighten.

Positive Pressure User Seal Check

Cover the opening in the exhalation valve cover with your hand. Be careful not to disturb the position of the respirator. Exhale gently. If the facepiece bulges slightly and no air leaks are detected between your face and the facepiece, a proper seal has been obtained.*

*If faceseal air leakage is detected, reposition the respirator on your face and/or readjust tension of the straps to eliminate the leakage. If you cannot achieve a proper seal, do not enter contaminated area. See your supervisor.

Negative Pressure User Seal Check

Using hands, press or squeeze filter covers toward facepiece to restrict airflow. Be careful not to disturb the position of the respirator. Inhale gently. If you feel the facepiece collapse slightly and pull closer to your face with no leaks between your face and the facepiece, a proper seal has been obtained.*

Using 3M Cartridges

Place the palms of your hands over the cartridges and inhale gently. The facepiece should collapse slightly. If air leaks between the face and the faceseal of the respirator, reposition it and adjust the straps for a tighter seal. If you cannot achieve a proper seal, do not enter the contaminated area. See your supervisor.*

Using 3M Particulate Filters

Place your thumbs onto the center portion of the filters, restricting airflow into the respirator tube of the filters. Be careful not to disturb the position of the respirator. Inhale gently. If you feel the facepiece collapse slightly and pull closer to your face with no leaks between your face and the facepiece, a proper seal has been obtained.*
