Question:	I don't see the phone jack on the side. Does this unit connect to the control unit via a phone cable (R45)? If so how
Answer:	yes it does and the phone line should have come with the unit - a 30ft long cable with the phone terminals at both ends. one goes into the unit and the other end goes into the remote control inside the shower or steam area. the connection in the unit is covered with a decal on one of its sides - you have to peel it off.

Answer:	I hired an electrician to set up a dedicated breaker for this unit which I think was recommended in the specs.

Answer:	The manual has it put inside an insulated area. Freezing temperatures would likely damage the generator. Cold winter temps would make it difficult for it to get got enough to produce steam. If your local temperatures don't do below freezing you could build an insulated enclosure. Enclosure has to be large enough to provide about 1' of clearance on each side and above.

Answer:	Hello,The unit can be placed on a concrete mounting pad; or a pea gravel foundation. It depends upon what the local code requirements allow in your area. To guard against vibration; we recommend mounting it on a concrete pad which the unit would be bolted down to. The guidelines for the mounting and installation as well as the clearance requirements for the unit can be found in the install guidelines manual upon receiving the unit. Answer:	This was one large box and smaller on top. Both secured to a shipping pallet. It was delivered via 18wheeler and rolled up my driveway on a pallet jack. Basically bundled together. Hope this helped.

Answer:	NO!The rear spark plug removal is easy, once removed, hold the tip of the plug and slowly feel for the opening and gently move the threaded end counter clockwise until you hear or feel the threads click with the threaded inset, don,t worry if it takes a few times gently going counter clockwise, then very gently and slowly screw in the plug clockwise....IF IT STARTS TO BIND STOP AND REMOVE GENTLY and start over again. Once finger tight you can snug up with a socket. If I can do it, so can you good luck

Answer:	axel length is 19 inches long,wheel base is 8 inches wide.
Question:	Ran gen and turned off petcock till unit died. Why is gas still getting into carb/air cleaner assembly
Answer:	It seems that if you overfill the fuel tank, the gas makes it's way into the vent and and then drains thru the hose back into the air cleaner assembly. Not the greatest design, but I drained some fuel from the tank and now the problem is solved.. Thanks for you input anyhow.

Answer:	Yes - as long as the wattage doesn't exceed the rated capacity. We've used ours to run two refrigerators, two fans and our water well without any issues.
Question:	Can somone explain the difference between surge watts and running watts
Answer:	Think of the running watts as the generator stabilizing its power output & staying level. When you plug another item into it that means it has to do more or output more power for a few seconds it amps up to compensate for the new item plugged in. A quick surge in watts happens & eventually levels out back to the running watts. If it happens to go over the max surge watts too far it'll shut off.

Answer:	50 dB at 1/2”. That is what the manufacturer is saying. Without a standard it is worthless information. I can claim mine is 47 dB but that measurement is at 30’ from the quietest side another claims 57dB but that is at 10’ Reporting the max reading from any side. Guess which one is quieter? Every generator is 0dB if you stand far enough away.

Answer:	hello I have a 3500 w strictly propane and used it during Sandy I poweredy whole house by rigging the board .I actually powered the boiler circulating pump for heat 2 refriges and a freezer besides some lights.I had to juggle appliances once in awile but it ran great .I went through a 100 # propane cylinder it took 2/ 12 hour days and one 8hr day running all those appliances.No prob.We actually ran tje washer once during that week cause some people stayed with us

Answer:	Having used quite a few propane heaters,generators,and torches(large ones) I can safely say the best way to stop the frost is to reduce the pressure on the tank. The easiest, simplest safest way to do that is to get a higher volume tank. If a 20lb tank is frosting badly you are drawing it to quickly,try a 40lb or better even a 100lb tank. Your frosting problem will go away.

Question:	What is the decibel noise rating
Answer:	Remember folks that this is a air cooled engine which are notoriously noisy engines by design. The engine does have a large muffler which helps a lot with exhaust noise but this generator has a open cabinet and doesn’t have an enclosed cabinet so all the machinery noise from the engine and generator goes everywhere. Noise is relative to different people. If a rattling noise is what bothers you but low sounds don’t bother you, you might consider a more expensive model that is enclosed. If rattles don’t bother you but low sounds do, then this is a good product for you. Personaly I knew what I was buying. An open generator that is going to make some sort of racket so I made a very nice enclosure and mine produces 65db at 5 feet. All generators of this price that are air cooled and not enclosed make a lot of noise. It’s more of a matter of what you or your neighbors can tolerate.
Question:	if battery goes dead can it be started manually
Answer:	yes, but only if using propane as a fuel source. if using gasoline then the recoil start won't work without a charged battery attached. I have tried it, and Champion customer service confirmed this.

Most economical and safe whole home installation is a sliding plate on distribution panel, 30 amp “back feed” breaker, outdoor 30 amp plung-in box, 10 gauge wire (in conduit if exposed and susceptible to damage), 25 ft 240 volt generator connector cable, all for about $200 for DIY’s.
