Answer:	There are two possible causes. The unit was not zeroed out upon activation or you do have a very low level of gas in your home atmosphere, with the first being my best guess. Unplug and move and re-check the reading. If this does not resolve the issue send it back for a new one. Mine has worked well for 6 months so far.
Question:	Why is the 2 pack more than 2 times the price of the single detector
Answer:	I returned these detectors. They don't have any information printed on the case - no manufacturer name, no instructions, no UL approved indicator, etc. These were made in China which is usually okay but I am not comfortable in relying on them to protect my family. I will be researching further and looking for better detectors that can be trusted.

Question:	When I unplug this device the green light goes off even though the batteries are installed as a backup. Is that normal
Answer:	It's about 5 1/2 in from hinge to hinge ~ 14.5 cm. It does provide full cover. The foam is flush with my face without being uncomfortable. It however is not waterproof. The foam has air slots so it can breathe. I've used these for Chemistry lab as well as wood working, and they work great.

Answer:	They stay on surprisingly well! I use them for my dog grooming business. They are light weight so that works good for me. They might be a bit too light for sports. If you got hit with a ball they would probably crack and potentially cut you.

Answer:	Don't worry, it's normal, the large moisture change can affect the sensor performance, and may lead to false alarm, but the data on display only switch to 1,2 or 3, but won;t trigger the voice and light alarm. Answer:	The instructions that come with the unit duplicate what I have read from several Fire Department sources: you can place your unit on the ceiling, but AT LEAST 4 inches (10cm) from the wall. If you want to mount it on the wall, mount it MORE THAN 4 inches (10cm) BELOW the ceiling, but NO LOWER than12 inches (30cm) below the ceiling. It has to be high enough up the wall to "smell" the smoke, but that 4 x 4 inch (10cm x 10cm) area where the wall meets the ceiling can sometimes harbor a "dead zone" of still air where the smoke would NOT reach the detector quickly enough during a fire to warn you in time. Thus, do NOT mount your detectors too close to where the wall meets the ceiling.

Answer:	Light turns off on mine as well once i unplug but i just plugged it back in a tested it and it started beeping and went back to red

Answer:	The alarm never went off in ours and the battery was charged when we got it. Its a 10 yr battery so I think your product is defective.

Answer:	Not sure, but my suggestion would be to replace the battery. What good is a battery backup if your battery is low?
Question:	How is the unit mounted? Should it be near the ceiling or near the floor
Answer:	The plug also can be removed from the unit in case you want to mount the device on the wall or stand it on a table or night stand.

Answer:	Yes, it does have tripod connection.
Question:	How far apart are the screws in the mounting bracket? (We're replacing an old unit (different model) and I'd rather not drill new holes
Answer:	I have not used this feature. The instruction booklet says it stores the last measurement, even after it is turned off. Also, you can elect to add to or subtract from the stored measurement, instead of simply replacing it.
Question:	Does this detect propane
Answer:	The device turns on by pressing the "C" once. You can also turn on by pressing once the pointing button. But if you need to press both at the same time it must be a defect. If it were mine I would send it back since is not working properly
Question:	Does it have a way to display "Peak Level" and if so, over what time period
Answer:	Use a 45 deg triangle so that device is is pointing up at a 45 deg angle. If don't have 45 deg triangle, just fold a square paper diagonally. Move device until laser is pointing to top of tree. Make sure it is 45 deg with the ground. Now lower the laser so that it is horizontal with the ground. Aim laser at bottom of tree trunk and take a reading. That would be the height of the tree.|\|__\

Answer:	This unit does not depend on the internet to work. It is portable. However, it has internet connection ports so it can use every feature the net can offer. I am very pleased with it's operation and quality.

Answer:	It has been two weeks since I bought this snake endoscope camera. I used it to repair my drain pipe. When I got this inspection camera, there was still electricity in it. Question:	What size home would this cover? Do I need more than one in a 1400 sq. ft. space
Answer:	Straight into the wall... two prongs on the back. The rear picture shown on Amazon shows the prongs, but it's a little confusing because the battery door is shown open - when the door is shut, it's out of the way so the unit can mount directly on an an electoral socket.
Question:	Does this alarm work when using an extension cord or must it be plugged directly into a wall outlet
Answer:	The manual for the CO605 plug-in with battery backup says that if the battery is low or missing, it chirps once a minute. I don't have the item myself, so if somebody can confirm that it does chirp if it is plugged in without a battery, I would appreciate it. As to another answer here, if you are hearing 3 chirps per minute, it means the alarm is not functioning properly; it is not because of a low or missing battery, which is supposed to give off only one chirp per minute.
Question:	can it detect levels of 20,30 or 40 ppm of CO? I know alot can only detect 70 ppm of CO or above...but I'm concerned of a small CO leak of below
Answer:	If it is a 9 volt battery, it may not be seated correctly. See the video on the first alert website, and be prepared to do some hard pushing to get the 9V battery to engage. I had 3 9V units, and 2 of the 3 seemingly required excessive pressure to get the batteries to engage. When I first thought I had the batteries installed by just closing the door, the unit chirped until I got the batteries shoved on hard.
Question:	If I plug this directly into the wall does it over both outlets? I have a nightlight in my hall where I want to place this unit
Answer:	CO is slightly lighter than air, but about the same weight as Nitrogen molecules that is 78% of air. It mixes evenly over time. Researchers tested this by injecting CO into a column of air at different heights. All trials mixed evenly but the injection at the top took a little longer to reach equilibrium. 1. Smoke Alarm Mode: flashes red with 3 long beeps every 1.5 seconds.
