Question:	What's the PSI or max head (pumping vertical height) of this pump
Answer:	A quick Google search of "Superior Pump 91250" yields the manufacturers specs. I do not see PSI listed but "Pumps will lift water up to 25' of vertical height" I belive answers your question...there is a chart on the "Performance" tab that shows 30 GPM at 0' lift and 2 GPM at 25' lift...with flow rates every 5' listed.http://superiorpump.com/products/utility/91250.html
Question:	Does it have an automatic shut off
Answer:	The pump does not have an automatic shut off. I added a float switch because I wanted it to pump out a sink that had a slow-running clogged drain where I had the washing machine. When the sink was mostly pumped out the float switch turned off the pump. It worked great for a couple years until I got around to dealing with snaking the drain which didn't have an easy clean-out. This is a good pump, since the sink drain got taken care of, we've been using the pump to pump koi pond water over a 5' fence to our neighbor's garden using about 150' of garden hose. The pump runs continuously for 5+ hours without issues in this process.
Question:	Will clothes washer hoses fit on this pump
Answer:	The pump itself fits a garden hose nicely. You can buy the attachment package listed next to it for the converter piece. It only came to around $8.00. It also comes with a larger hose. I didn't need it for my spa but if you need to empty a washer or bigger pool it seems like it would come in handy. Hope that helps. Good luck. :-)
Question:	Can this be user to flush a tankless heater with vinigar
Answer:	I bought the pump for this very reason. I'm not sure if it is rated to handle vinegar, but at the price I figured I'd try it and see. I have two tankless water heaters, and I wanted a pump that could clean out both at the same time and this pump certainly does the job. I have a hose that runs from the pump, into a splitter. From the splitter I have two hoses going to each water heater (one hose per water heater). Even pushing water through two hoses, it still has a strong flow, with each hose pushing about the same flow as the water hose faucet outside your house opened wide open (guestimate). The splitter I have allows me to adjust the flow rate by closing off some valves if it is too strong. For just one water heater, i would think this pump is too strong (as it REALLY moves water), but I'm not a plumber so I couldn't say for sure. If I were to do it again, I think I would have purchased the 1/4 HP pump, or even the 1/5HP for cleaning out water heaters with vinegar. I cleaned out my water heater this week for the first time using this pump. I let it run for 2 hrs, and I noticed that it got warm (about the temp of a warm-to-hot bath). I'm not sure if that is normal, but thought I'd let you know.

Answer:	I have a large tree near my pool and leaves frequently fall onto the cover. Clogging has not been a problem for me. It wont suck them up into the hose but they seem to collect around the bottom of the pump.

Answer:	My husband says that the motor is not meant to be removed since it's made to be watertight.

Answer:	This pump starts to pump water at 2 1/8 inches of water, not good when the temperature is below freezing. if there is 2 inches of FROZEN ICE SURROUNDING THE PUMP , it wont pump any water because the pump is encased in surrounding ICE. This pump is designed to protect itself and not your pool cover.

Answer:	I have a concrete pool and a mesh cover suspended in air above the pool water. I place this pump below the cover on one of the pool steps to keep the water level from rising all winter. I used to use it on top of a solid cover to keep rain water from building up on the cover.

Answer:	Until two days ago my pump wasn't only completely underwater but it was completely under a foot of hard frozen snow and ice. Now I did unplug the pump knowing that a hard freeze was coming and also had to wait until the temps got above freezing in order for the snow and ice to thaw. Answer:	As long as the pump is under water; it will work just fine. This means you would have to place this pump in a place where your stream is at least 2 feet deep before plugging it in and running the hose over to your driveway.

Answer:	I can't figure out how to copy pictures into this section. And the instructions aren't that good - the english used has incorrect grammar so take that into consideration as well. So I'll type what I think you may need to know. Before using the pump again, first "soak" it so that any possible dirt residues do not block the appliance. Submerge pump at an angle into the liquid so that no air pocket forms on the underside of the appliance. Suction would be prevented by this. Once the pump is submerged, it can be righted again. It also says that we should be using a rope to lower it into the water and not using the main cable..... Minor faults are often sufficient to cause a malfunction.... Pump does not run ----check cables, plug, socket and fuse. Motor defective? contact service partner. Automatic power-off low water level float - manual vertical float motor normal power, start the pump without water, will damage the water pump, manual vertical float when use must be care (I typed this as manual listed it, bad/incorrect grammar, makes no sense) Cleaning the suction area - clean all accessible insides of the casing. Remove fibers which have wound around the rotor shaft by opening the pressure connection. Remove stubborn contamination with a brush and detergent. It also says to if you unable to correct a fault yourself, please contact our technical support directly. BUT there is no number listed anywhere in the 8 page manual. Sorry! This is all the manual says. Not a good manual...

Question:	How can you hook this to standard garden hose
Answer:	My small existing hose I push through the hole in the bracket, wrap the plastic and garden hose with strong holding tape together and use a small clamp and tighten it, It works. But being able to have an adapter on a small hose would save a lot of time or having the hose pushed out from the water pressure. Hope it helps because I went through this process 2/3 times before I got it right. Smile
Question:	Is this pump safe to be use with saltwater for aquarium? Would like to use to transfer from 1 holding tank to another
Answer:	I used it as a pump for a homemade pool filtration system for an 8000 gallon above ground pool that ran continuously for 5 weeks straight. Pool salts, sand, pine needles, and algae didn't stop this unit from working. A little salty water won't do anything to this unit.

Answer:	Yes there is no way I could see to attach a garden hose. In the video in posted to my by review I show the pump projecting the water into the yard. I really couldn’t find any pump that showed a hose connection

Question:	I’m pumping out ground water under our in-ground trampoline. It’s no where near pumping 1200gph. Any idea why
Answer:	It's 1200gph measured at the discharge port of the pump, but that number drops significantly depending on the length of the hose. The longer the hose, the lower the gph.
Question:	Is this pump sensitive to temperature and if so what is the safe temp range of water to flow through it
Answer:	I used it to pump out water in my in ground swimming pool this winter. The water temp was just above freezing and the pump worked great.
Question:	If left plugged in amd sitting on the basement floor will it automatically start pumping when it senses water over 1/16" deep
Answer:	I don't know if it is automatic or not, but the way we do it is 1) set it in the water with the hose hooked up and 2) plug it. Because the seats have a dent in the hot tub it is hard for it to pump the water but it does get pretty much all of it. It is an amazing pump.

Question:	Can this pump be hooked up to a battery backup
Answer:	It pulls too much current for most battery backups, a generator will run it fine.
Question:	how long is the power cord
Answer:	Just received my Wayne CDU980E. I, too, was concerned with this question. Power cord measures about 90-inches (7.5-feet) from where it connects to the top of the sump motor (which is about 11-inches above the bottom of the pump). I can't find this marked on Wayne's literature for the CDU980E.
Question:	When the pump is switched on by the floater, how long does it run
Answer:	If there is merely water in the sump pit, you don't need this powerful a pump. This 3/4 HP pump is for handling major water flowing into the pit. When that happens in our cellar, the pump runs until it out-runs the flow of incoming water.-- sometimes for minutes sometimes for hours. We have 4 sump installations in 4 buildings. When the water table (level of the ground water in the outside ground) is high, three of these systems pump a lot of the time and pretty constantly. We have 2 pumps in each pit so if one fails we do not get flooded. Each Pump (if more than one in the system) needs to have a check valve/ back-flow preventer so it will force the other pumps to actually pump the water up and out and not allow an operating pump to to just pump back out through the other , (not then pumping) pump. The should also be placed at different levels so they don't necessariy go on at the same time, thus reserving one as a kind of back up. Of course, if there is really a lot of incoming water -- which we had when we first bought our house, it takes both pumps to handle the in flow and avoid flooding. NOw that we use the large diameter PVC piping, it works so much better that a single pump pof this size would probably be fine. It is best to pipe the pumps with real PVC pipe and in 1 1/2" or 2" size. This will increase the flow rate by around twice as much flow as the skinny (1 1/4") highresistance black curly-sided plastic pipe they often come with. Good luck and stay dry.
Question:	when you say 'top suction' does this mean the pu,p must be totally submerged
Answer:	The pump draws water from the "LOWER" part of the pump a few inches off the floor. It does not have to be completely submerged to draw water. When the bulb float rises enough to turn on the float switch it sucks water. It turns on before the water reaches the top of the pump. I use this one and I know. Hope this helps someone.

Question:	What is the PSI of this pump? ...Or what height does it pump up water? I don't see that spec
Answer:	I have re-read the documentation that accompanies the pump and nowhere does it state PSI or head (height) capability. My experience with draining a 500 gallon holding tank: discharge is not high pressure, less than a hose connected to the house; it will pump at least an 8' head. The pump did not deliver 2500 gph.
Question:	Anyone use this for dirty water and how did it handle it? Did the debris pass thorough or clog it
Answer:	The first thing is what you mean by "dirty", that's the problem. I have used this pump for very dirty water full of leaves, branches, and muck and it definitely clogs without the modifications I describe following. The main thing that restricts what passes through this pump is the size on the intake port on the bottom of the pump which is only a little over an inch. The port has to be kept small to maintain the vortex inside the lower bell of the pump. It is the vortex that moves the water, not the impeller like other pumps! This means that if you have a lot of small particles, it is possible for a clog to occur at the elbow at the output port shown in the picture. More likely, however, the clog will occur at the smaller intake port. Generally speaking, anything that can make it through the intake port will exit if there is not some restriction at the output port. This means, for maximum dirty water flow, you have to do two things. First, swap out the provided elbow meant for connecting a garden hose, and attach a system of standard 1 1/4" pvc pipe from your local hardware store. If you want to connect to a hose, use an adapter at the end of the pvc pipe (or better yet, use a flexible large diameter discharge hose sold on Amazon). The second thing you need to do is prevent objects larger than the intake port on the bottom of the pipe from trying to enter the pump (such as leaves, etc.) To do this, place a metal 1/4" or 1/2" metal screen across the bottom of the pump held in place with duct tape. Then, ideally, place a couple of 1/2" or so stick at the bottom to prevent the pump from sitting on the bottom of whatever you are pumping out. If you do both these thing, this pump is fantastic and can move a lot of water at impressive pressure for an immersible pump of it's size! Worse case, the attached bottom screen will clog and then you just have to lift the pump and sweep your hand across the bottom to remove the debris. If not do not do both of things I have mentioned, it will clog very easily due to the small intake port and if you use the restrictive elbow provided! I have used many different kinds of pumps of all types and this is best consumer type dirty water pump I have used but you need to make the modifications that I have mentioned which are very simple and cheap. I can try and post a picture of my modifications.
Question:	Do I need a garden hose attachment or does it come with one ? Also, if there isn't a float, what kind and where do I get one? Thanks
Answer:	It comes with 3/4-inch adjustable discharge adapter and connects to garden hoses. I unscrewed the 3/4 " adapter to fasten a pvc adapter on my pump so I was able to use 1 1/4 " corogated plastic hose when pumping water off my pool cover. It works faster with the larger plastic hose. Sorry I do not have any info about floats.
Question:	What is the lift
Answer:	Lift is how far ABOVE the pump it will pump liquid. example: 10 ft. lift means it will pump liquid 10 ft. above the level of the pump. Normally the higher the lift, the lower amount it will pump.
