It's like with something that wears off over time which means it's in the water when you drink it. I've seen some that say it doesn't whistle. Mine was loud, sometimes. That's the only thing I looked about it until the whistle fell off.

Answer:	Can't find anything on the unit that says where it was made and no longer have the packaging. There is no plastic in the unit unless one considers the two small grommets on the metal lid plastic. In any event, the grommets do not touch the coffee. Units works just fine.

Answer:	The kettle has two options for heating. It has the option to boil the water as normal and the second option is to heat the water to a certain temperature. If you have boiled water and hours later you want to use it but it's cooled down you can select the temperature you want to heat it up to without having to re-boil the water that's already been boiled. There are 3 temperature settings. I don't know if this answers your question specifically but this is the feature on this kettle. Answer:	This is in NO way comparable to a Clarisonic! I bought this after having my Clarisonic for years. When seeing the comment below on here, I decided to try this. I do not recommend this, if you've had a Clarisonic and was happy with it. This is in NO way even close to the quality or power of the Clarisonic I owned. The Clarisonic is NOT harsh! My Clarisonic was an excellent product that I used for years before it wore out. I just ordered another Clarisonic Mia 1 because my skin seems to be suffering without it. Wish I would have bought a Clarisonic replacement when my first one died, rather than the Olay ProX. It was an excellent product. This one seems like a toy in comparison. The Olay ProX does not have much power and "drags" with slight pressure and you have to replace batteries fairly quickly if using every day. Probably okay for a teenager.

So you can just purchase the replacement heads for the Microdermabrasion and they will fit on this system. Answer:	Make sure you don't underfill or overfill. You should hear a beep when you set the kettle on it's power pad. Press the left button to activate and the right button 1 to 4 times for the desired temperature. It could be a defective unit if you don't hear the initial beep when setting the kettle on its power source.
