Answer:	I don’t know. But I suggest u look for a different brand. It already failed twice in less than a year and their warranty is a scam. They provide the parts which are pennies and leave out labor.

Answer:	Hold up there, previous answer, not so fast. It is true that you should not have both the hot water heater and furnace venting directly into the flue, combining the exhaust. However, some people see their vent pipes entering the flue (or chimney wall) and assume they are both releasing the fumes inside the chimney. In some cases, the venting pipes continue separately up the flue. Joseph, if you have two vent pipes entering your flue, there is a chance that both pipes continue separately up the flue and out the top. If that is the case, you may be able to use the existing hot water vent system. When you look at the top of your chimney, do you see two terminations coming out?
Question:	How does very cold intake water affect performance
Answer:	Sorry to contradict but the temperature of the water going into the water heater will definitely have an effect on the temperature of the water coming out. the water heater needs to provide enough BTUs to heat the volume of water that you need to the water temperature that you want. If the water starts off at a lower temperature it will take more BTUs to get it to the temperature you want. This unit claims to be able to provide 6.6 gallons of hot water per minute but that assumes the water is startling an average temperature. If you have a modern shower head it will only use about 2.5 GPM but if you have second shower going, a hot water faucet open or a clothes washer filling at the same time you will run out of capacity quickly. Rinnai should have tables on their website that shows the ability of the unit to heat water at a variety of starting temperatures to a range of hot water temperatures at a given flow rate.

Answer:	I bought model V65EN. It came with a wired digital controller. The installer did not run the wire into the house and mount the controller indoors. He simply set the controller at 120 degrees and left the controller inside the unit. If I want to change the temp, I have to take the cover of the unit.

Answer:	5.7 gallons at a 40 degree rise based on the energy guide. The documentation on Rheem's website does offer a whole range based on ground water temp. You may have to dig for it through the many guides and the likes they have though.

Answer:	The expansion tank for this heater is not required. Most people already have these installed in their homes but if not then it would be Ok without it as there is a pressure relief valve on top if something happened. GlobalTowne is an authorized Bosch distributor.
Question:	What recirculation pump will work with this heater
Answer:	A standard flow shower head is around 2.5 gallons per minute. A low flow head is around 1.5 gallons per minute. The recovery rate for a 90 degree temperature rise is 6.8 gallons per hour! So even the 7.5 gallon unit would only provide 4 minutes of shower time before the temp dropped off dramatically. (even at the low flow rate..)
Question:	What is wi-fi ready means and what what will you use it for ? also what circ-logic capable means? do you need recirculation pipe for it
Answer:	If your bathtub is bigger than your main heater tank, this unit isn't going to do much for you. It will add 2.5, 4, or 7 gallons to the capacity of your main tank, depending on which Bosch unit you buy. The 7 gallon unit requires a specially wired circuit. You will also get a little bit of lukewarm water that was in the line between your main heater and the Bosch unit. Unless your main tank is awfully small and your bathtub massive, the 4 gallon unit should work for you. Maybe a demand type thankless heater in your bathtub hot water feed would be a better choice, but be careful to size it properly for your desired flow rate and temperature rise. Also a tankless is likely to require special wiring.

Answer:	When the tap is opened, the hot water in the unit flows out. The colder water that was sitting upstream of the unit, enters the unit to be heated. If the tap remains open, the newly heated water flows out, being replaced eventually, (depending on the distance to the main water heater), with the water from the main water heater. You will probably set the unit temperature to equal the main water heater temperature, if you want to keep a constant temperature, but other scenarios are possible.

Answer:	Everything is standard but the threads on the natural gas line were not tapered enough for a standard 3/4 pipe fitting but there was a brass fitting included in the package that reduced to 1/2 pipe and all I did was put a reducer on that to get it back to 3/4. This unit is a super water heater. Better than our old Rani.
Question:	How far from combustibles does the vent pipe have to be? I plan on going through block foundation but worried about vinyl siding above it
Answer:	Vinyl siding is made of PVC . PVC is incombustible and the heater is so efficient that only 10% of the heat is gone in the form of water vapor are about 220 F, not to affect PVC.

Answer:	This unit uses two “D” batteries to ignite. There is no wired ignition so power outages do not affect the ability to ignite. The water pressure, however, will affect ignition as a certain amount of water pressure is required.

Question:	On rheem rtg-84xln-1 tankless water heater, what does "recirculation pump ready kit ready" mean
Answer:	Numerous ways to install any water heater. One way is to install a recirculation pump and loop your hot water line so you have hot water at points of use at all times. That way you have hot water immediately but, to me, it defeats the purpose of having on demand tankless because you are back to keeping your water hot all the time.
Question:	Will this unit accept preheated water? I’d like to use it as a back up to my solar passive system that doesn’t have a built in heater unit
Answer:	I read the specs and I don’t see any restrictions on inlet temp. It has a temperature sensor and should adjust to any inlet water temp. If you supply water at a temperature above the water temperature set point, I assume it just would not turn the gas on, and let the water flow through.
