Question:	My house is wired 110V. What additional items do I need to purchase for the conversion
Answer:	Just to expand slightly on prior answers, normally a residential service feed is 240 volts between the two incoming hot legs. There is also a neutral leg, which (hopefully) has zero potential with reference to ground. The voltage between either one of the hot legs and the neutral leg is 120 volts. The 120 volt circuits in your house are connected to one or the other of the two hot legs, and only one. An attempt is made to assign circuits to the two hot legs in a way that will roughly balance the load between them. The other side of a 120 volt circuit is connected to the neutral leg. There is additionally a safety ground run with the circuit, which also ties into the panel. Certain devices require more power (work product of current and voltage) than is practical to deliver using a 120 volt circuit. Common examples are your clothes dryer, and your electric stove. These devices are powered by both hot legs, with a difference in potential of 240 volts. This water heater is also such a device.STRONG BUT FRIENDLY WARNING: If you did not already know this, please don't make wiring this water heater your learning opportunity with electricity. Answer:	The National Electrical Code requires conductors and overcurrent protection to be sized at 100% of the manufacturer's branch circuit recommendation for tankless electric water heaters. A 60 amp breaker is the same price as a 40 or 50, it is the wire that costs more. #6 AWG wire is required for a 60 amp circuit. If you undersize the wire it could overheat and catch fire. Answer:	Most rinnai tankless weather it is out door or indoor, have a control board to adjust temp and either on or off

Answer:	I bought model V65EN. It came with a wired digital controller. The installer did not run the wire into the house and mount the controller indoors. He simply set the controller at 120 degrees and left the controller inside the unit. If I want to change the temp, I have to take the cover of the unit.

Question:	Is it necessary to connect an expansion tank to this heater (for safety purposes)? It states something to that effect in the user manual
Answer:	The expansion tank for this heater is not required. Most people already have these installed in their homes but if not then it would be Ok without it as there is a pressure relief valve on top if something happened. GlobalTowne is an authorized Bosch distributor.
Question:	would this be able to supply a shower
Answer:	A standard flow shower head is around 2.5 gallons per minute. A low flow head is around 1.5 gallons per minute. The recovery rate for a 90 degree temperature rise is 6.8 gallons per hour! So even the 7.5 gallon unit would only provide 4 minutes of shower time before the temp dropped off dramatically. (even at the low flow rate..)
Question:	Can be used "in-line with a large hot water source"? Would it help a large bathtub that runs out of hot water before it gets full from main tank
Answer:	If your bathtub is bigger than your main heater tank, this unit isn't going to do much for you. It will add 2.5, 4, or 7 gallons to the capacity of your main tank, depending on which Bosch unit you buy. The 7 gallon unit requires a specially wired circuit. You will also get a little bit of lukewarm water that was in the line between your main heater and the Bosch unit. Unless your main tank is awfully small and your bathtub massive, the 4 gallon unit should work for you. Maybe a demand type thankless heater in your bathtub hot water feed would be a better choice, but be careful to size it properly for your desired flow rate and temperature rise. Also a tankless is likely to require special wiring.
Question:	When this heater is connected to the hot water line, what happens with the cold water that was sitting in the pipes
Answer:	When the tap is opened, the hot water in the unit flows out. The colder water that was sitting upstream of the unit, enters the unit to be heated. If the tap remains open, the newly heated water flows out, being replaced eventually, (depending on the distance to the main water heater), with the water from the main water heater. You will probably set the unit temperature to equal the main water heater temperature, if you want to keep a constant temperature, but other scenarios are possible.

Without this feature, there is always water in the heat exchanger, and the low volume of water to high surface contact means this heater is more suceptable to damage than a tanked version which has a "cushion" of water to survive mild frosting, not deep freezes. Answer:	Any unit that takes the small throw away cylinders can be connected to a larger cylinder with an adapter hose. Bayou Classic cookers makes one that’s 4’ long and connects to a QCC cylinder valve. Part# MCR1. They’re many other lengths and manufactures that do the same.
Question:	Coleman is avoiding the GPM on this unit. my question is what else are they not telling
Answer:	I sent mine back. Coleman, flow rate was sufficient, and is largely dependent on the input pressure. YOU are the igniter for the Coleman. I chose instead to return my Coleman, and purchased a Triton on-demand. The Triton is self igniting (D cell batts) and has an internal flow sensor. So, add batteries, hook it up to a water and propane source, and you have instant hot water when you turn the valve.
Question:	How easy would it be to extend the shower-head hose? Is it a standard-size that I could find an extension for easily
Answer:	I bought 3/8th by 1/2 in diameter tubing from Menards. Swapped the hardware. And now I have a 15ft hose for my shower head. Was not difficult to swap.
Question:	can you turn the water flow off at the shower head
Answer:	No the water has to be continuous running for the heater to work.
