Question:	how hard is the lead (graphite?) in the striker? i prefer a softer lead. i do not see the usual markings: soft, medium, or hard
Answer:	Definitely on the hard side. I'm guessing it's to prevent the lead from breaking inside the pencil. If so, it's not successful. The leads break often when doing tougher work like rough framing. Probably be ok with less strenuous types of construction/remodel.

Answer:	I have ordered several strikers and they only come with black lead. The picture is misleading. I tried to order the colored leaf but had no luck. I hope this is helpful.

Answer:	You would have to do it with a knife. They are too big to put in a sharpener.

Answer:	THIS ARE JUNK! And they are NOT made in the USA. I would not recommend these to anyone! They are not painted. They have a plastic sleeve over the pencil. When you sharpen them, it rips off the plastic sleeve, jamming up the shapener. THEN, if that were not enough, the pencil then falls apart! THAT RIGHT! Never in all my years have I ever seen a pencil split in two! But these did just that! THANK YOU FOR LOOKING FOR MADE IN USA! I do not know of any. But do not buy from this company!

Answer:	This is more of gift for 1st-3rd grader or a teacher. Although it's functional, we keep it put up when not in use so the lead doesn't break. It's more for show than to use.

Answer:	My 2nd grader used it. It's about 18-20 inches long and about 4-5 inches wide. It works but we take care of it so that the lead doesn't break. Still have it a year later.

Answer:	Thick and heavy! Overkill for most situations I tried it out for a day then bought a different one which I could have returned it.

Answer:	I use them. I am 5’7”. I have them maxed out as short as they will allow. They are very comfortable. They could stand to have a better way to keep them set for your height but they are workable.

Answer:	I don't know the diameter of these pencils. They are larger than a normal #2 pencil. They are great for little ones learning how to write or in my case, where I need a pencil similar to a carpenter pencil to do a big job.
