Answer:	It's maybe an 1\8 inch wide, and 1\4 inch thick, but you can take it off, which I did.
Question:	what is the largest bit it can take
Answer:	Being about a 1/4" metal strip, it is too stiff to fall down at such a precise bend. Most likely you would have to get over the wall, then project the cable down. Even then, it may easily curve and not go straight down. A alternative could be a metal nut (3/4" or more), tied to a string, then dropped down the wall. this will work if the wall has no internal insulation or other obstructions. Good luck.
Question:	to clarfy a question already asked. i would like to mortice a piece that will be 6" tall, targeting a 2" deep mortise. will this machine work? max
Answer:	Yes definitely. I used it to run CAT6 to five rooms in my house last week and it worked great. Some tips in case they help - drill a very small hole in the ceiling directly above where you want your drop and stick a coat hangar through it to get a point of reference in the attic. Also, I would fish string through the wall first and then pull the cable once string is through. Maybe basic stuff but I didn't know any of this before I started...

Answer:	It is a claim that the unit is easy to open to access the computer at airport security check points so that you can open the computer to turn the computer on. TSA wants to be sure the computer is operational. As to the validity of the claim for frequent fliers, I cannot testify because I rarely fly accompanied by my laptop. Question:	Is this machine the same as the 735 w/o the extra blades and infeed and outfeed tables
Answer:	Yes it is the same as the standard 735. As to the ware on the blades - I've planed over 300bf in the 6 years that I've had this unit. I missed a label staple on the end of a board and now have a 1/32nd hairline strip that shows and I easily clean up with a scraper. I also purchased an extra set of HSS (high speed steel) knives and put the money out ($158 for the set) for carbide edged which I only use on the last phase of the construction. I've got an older 13" planer that I use strictly for rough plane jobs and paint and varnish removal when I recycle older woodwork.
Question:	How much thickness does this take, when used just for finishing? i have ok smooth oak in 13/16", would like it ++smooth but can't give more than
Answer:	You can take as little or as much off as you want. It is measurable down to about 1/64" but if there is any cupping or warping within the board that may vary a bit. I would recommend a random orbital sander going up to 320 grit to get a ++smooth surface
Question:	How easy is it to change blades on this planer? Thanks
Answer:	Easy, about 10-15 minutes: 1) Remove four 5/32nds" headed screws to remove the top yellow cowling. 2) Remove 3 red thumbscrews to remove the black dust shroud - clean out any blocked wood chips. 3) Remove eight 5/32nds" headed screws on each of the three blades. 4) Flip the blades, or sharpen if they've already been flipped. 5) Reassemble in the reverse order. If using a power drill with a 5/32nd inch allen wrench head (e.g., https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VH7ZQGC or something similar), set the drill on medium torque and it will take about 10 minutes. (If you manually unscrew the screws using the T handled allen wrench it will take twice as long.) If careful (having heard of the others stories), it doesn't seem hard to to remove/replace the screws with enough torque to seat them properly, but not so hard that they get struck. I'm planing very hard madrone wood, and the blades have lasted about 150-200 lineal feet of wood that is about a foot wide before needing replacing. Use the #1 (slow) feed speed for hard woods - I didn't know about this until reading the manual...

Answer:	Hi, this item is universal, but you need to confirm whether the size is appropriate.

Answer:	It is a decent machine. The motor is powerful. It has the right set-up using the motor's weight to help push the mortising chisel/bits down etc. However The fence is not finely machined, to do accurately placed, repeatable mortises you will be making your a lot of your own templates. You might also consider buying a cross-sliding drill press vice. I've found that the best templates control the bits path above the intended site of the mortise. in other words you clamp the piece under the template (which should be at least 3/4" thick) that has a pre-cut square hole of the same size as the bit.
