Answer:	Pretty sure you can find replacement belts on Amazon. I have seen them there. I cannot recall the size of the belt offhand (1/2 x 18?) but that is what you would want to search for. The ones I saw were made by another manufacturer.

Answer:	I was a professional carpenter, served a 4 year apprenticeship, have worked on residential, commercial and industrial projects, including hardwood floor refinishing. I retired from the trade in 1989 (it sure doesn't seem that long ago!). In short, this is a great sander, but it will not work for what you want. Go to a rental store and rent the appropriate equipment. Above all, have a top notch vacuum at your disposal.

Answer:	Don't believe the unit is made for water cooling.. Water may be thrown into the motor. You might be better off looking for a different cooling agent. Air for example?

Question:	Can you use a sander instead of a stainless steel who'll scrub to remove gray areas on teak wood easier and faster without damaging it
Answer:	I've never been able to get dark stains out of wood with a sander or steel wool. I had better luck treating the stain with clorox or, if the stain is caused by organic material, I use hydrogen peroxide, let the spot dry and then sand. The clorox bleaches the wood, and the hydrogen peroxide reacts with organics to lift the stain. But if the hydrogen peroxide doesn't fizz on the stain, it is not working. If the stain is fairly light, the sander will take it out quicker than steel wool. A lot depends on how deep into the wood the stain is.
Question:	Does this use the same sandpaper sheets at the Black and Decker mouse sander? or is it a different size format
Answer:	No the sandpapers for black and decker will be a tad smaller than the ones for this sander. you can try the generic sandpapers sold here on amazon, or wen also sells their replacement sandpapers. i bought mine from the fugen brand here, it's way cheaper with the exact same hole position and last just as long as the wen brand.

Answer:	I bought replacement sandpapers for my wen sander from the brand fugen here on amazon and they fit perfectly. they even have the holes line up so the vacuum works

Answer:	You just turn the round handle in either direction

Answer:	I can clamp onto a table that is up to 4 inches thick and the clamp itself is more shallow, at about 2.5 inches tall. It sounds shallow but it holds 2 inch thick 2x4's 2/8's for me just fine as it stays very secure. Great deal if looking for an inexpensive diy hobbyist clamp or something you don't have to drill onto a workbench top. I added soft clamp pads to it and it can add about an inch more of depth to it while keeping down any marring. I paid about $4 for a set here on amazon to go with it.
Question:	Come with punch plate for regular sand paper
Answer:	It is a 6" vise. It will be less the thickness of wood facing added to the metal jaws if one chooses to add facing. It is a light duty vise and is made in "China". It does work well.

Answer:	Not as loud as belt sander. If I was doing a lot of sanding, I would wear hearing protection. It's about 60 to 70 dbs when sanding. The belt sander is about 70 to 80 when sanding. Prolonged use : ear plugs

Answer:	Could be the sleeve. I tighten mine down and it works fine. I'm very happy with the one I have. I would contact the manufacturer.
Question:	what's the actually sanding height possible with this sander
Answer:	If the sanding drum in installed flush with the rubber core, the "as-designed" safe sanding height ( distance from the table top to the bottom of the drum downstroke) is 3 3/4 inches. The stroke is 1/2 inch, so it will sand a total of 4 1/4 inches if utilizing the upstroke.
Question:	Anyone find a place to put the extra washers? It's driving me nuts having, seemingly, no where to put them
Answer:	All those neat little places that are designed to hold the accessories are designed by people that don't use the equipment. All the washers, sanding sleeves, mandrills for my machine are in a box not far from the sander. Anything stored as per design would end up covered in sawdust and would have to be removed every time a vacuum or air gun is used for clean up. Cigar box (or similar) is just fine.

I have put small things in them to drill with a hand drill, I would say yes for the mini drill press, I have all together 4 of them scattered where I will be working and put most anything in them that will fit within reason, I also drill small holes in the vise to stick a alligator clip in to quickly hold wire while I put solder on while I have a connector in the vise, they have a lot of potential,Dave

Answer:	It uses drywall sand screen. Yes you must attach the sand screen. If you use sand paper, the attached vacuum will not pickup the drywall particles.

Question:	Im looking to try a new hobby. Would this sander work to refinish a wooden table
Answer:	The threaded rod can be removed. Removal and re-insertion is relatively simple to do (I just now did it for the first time) but is difficult to describe. For the vise to operate, any other rod would have to be nearly identical, except for length. Same diameter, same thread depth and pitch. The end opposite from the handle, which you can't see because it is inside the moving jaw, has a groove in it that an Allen screw fits into from the bottom side, which anchors the rod/handle assembly into the jaw. Without this groove, you could close the vise, but when you tried to open the vise, the rod/handle assembly would simply pull out of the block; you could then pull the jaw open manually, but what's the point? If you were working in a constricted area, a longer or shorter rod/handle assembly might make it more convenient to operate I suppose. So anyway, the end inside the jaw is smaller in diameter than the threaded part, and you would have to have something on the handle end to provide the grip/torque needed to turn the threaded part, to move the jaw back and forth.So, yes, you could remove and replace the threaded rod, but making the replacement piece would be a complex process, unless you have some very nice metal turning/threading/machining equipment and the necessary ability.

I suppose you could cut them to 3", but the kit also includes 2 larger diameter sleeves that can't be used with this sander. Big Horn is the only manufacturer I can find on Amazon that makes 3" long sanding sleeves.

Answer:	I'm very pleased with the 3 14 model that I purchased, but I don't have any personal experience with the 4 3/8 model. I did find a few reviews on the Home Depot web page specifically for the 4 3/8 and they all were very good.

Answer:	Yeah you can plane wider boards. I have not gotten good results though - either due to my lack of experience or due to the limits of the product itself, not sure. I suggest practicing on some scrap first.
