Answer: Not sure the actual CFM but my compressor is a 5HP 2 stage and has no problem running it, had a Snap-On sander before and I like the 3M much more, it's quiter and uses less air.

Question: what is the degree of nail on framepro
Answer: You need a 220V air compressor to run this. The PSI does not mean anything you need to know what SCFM your compressor puts out at 90 PSI. This sander wants 22 SCFM at 90 PSI. With that said that is at full throttle and a constant trigger pull the shorter burst of trigger you need you need less compressor. Any air sander will suck the life out of a small compressor fast. My idea of small is a 120v with a 50 gallon tank. You hold the trigger long all the air be gone

Answer: I have a 7.5hp 240volt single phase air compressor and I run two of these sanders and the compressor still cycles on and off. Probable runs a little over half the time. Make sure you keep the air filter clean on the compressor because this can make a big difference in how many cfms the compressor actually makes.
