Answer:	Mine caught on fire with a little 1500 watt space heater, and to compare, my hair dryer is 1875 watts (not plugged into a smart plug of course), so it doesn't take much for these to catch on fire. Answer:	Two parts to this answer... First, yes it retains it's settings if the power is off or it's unplugged. Second, I powered on my lamp then unplugged the unit from the wall. Upon plugging it back in after a couple seconds it turned itself back on (the last state it was in) and within a few more seconds re-connected to my wifi network.Hope this answers peoples questions about power outages and operation...

Answer:	Thank you for your question. Yes - the cutter can handle those materials. The spare blades are stored inside the cutter itself. The blade could be replaced by fully extending the blade, then while pressing the red button, take the dull blade out and insert a new one. Or you could also reverse the blade getting the sharper side out.

Answer:	There is a red button towards the back on the utility knife (on the blue, above the silver). If you press it and swing the blue/silver part up, the blades are in a hidden compartment. The red button towards the front of the knife releases the blade, and you may need to press it to insert the blade. If there is already a blade in it, use the blue slide to push the blade out into the open and adjust how far out you want it to go. I really like this utility knife and have been using it for all my amazon packages and anything else I need to cut.

Answer:	Yes, as long as it fits the 1/4" (or 1/2" with sleeve) bits for the router it will work. To note, you might need a Collet tool (extension) if you are trying to plane a live-edge board flat, as the length of this bit is relatively short.

Answer:	I'm no expert, but because of the bit diameter and the 1/4" shank I would keep the RPM down to 8 or 9 thousand. I was using it to surface maple/cherry end grain cutting board and took only about 1/16th inch cut. I have no idea how deep you might go with alder. If at all possible, go with a 1/2" shank.

Answer:	Metal skeleton with a plastic like material for the handle and blade storage compartment. It looks like plastic but has a different fell. I really like mine (I have 2). Well made and heavy duty. I haven't seen the thumb rest on other blades either and I like that. Your mileage may vary.

Answer:	The template bit has a bearing on the shank end of the bit. A flush trim has a bearing at the end of the bit. Both use the bearing to limit the depth of the cut and are used to follow along an edge. Flush trim bits are generally used to square (flush) up an edge of an existing workpiece. Template bits are used to cut out a profile from scratch by following a template. You cut a template to the desired shape and secure it to your workpiece - then you use the template as a guide by aligning the bearing with the template and cutting out the material to the shape of the template. Answer:	I don't believe there is a continuous "feed." The device is activated by motion and/or pushing the button, then recordings are made. If it helps, the videos can be shared with several options. I share it to myself by email then I capture it with software I have for capturing videos on my desktop. Then I save my videos to an external hard drive for backup.
