Router bit sets are essential accessories for woodworking and other tasks that involve a router. They consist of a collection of router bits designed for various cutting, shaping, and edging applications. These sets provide versatility and convenience for woodworkers, allowing them to achieve a wide range of profiles and finishes in their projects. Here are some key points about router bit sets:

  1. Variety of Bits: Router bit sets typically include a variety of router bits with different profiles. Common types of router bits found in these sets include straight bits, flush trim bits, chamfer bits, round-over bits, cove bits, beading bits, and more. Each bit is designed for specific cutting tasks.

  2. Materials: Router bits are made from various materials, including high-speed steel (HSS), carbide-tipped, and solid carbide. Carbide bits are known for their durability and ability to cut through hardwoods and other tough materials.

  3. Shank Size: Router bits come in different shank sizes, with 1/4-inch and 1/2-inch shanks being the most common. The shank size determines the router that can accommodate the bit, with 1/2-inch shanks typically used in larger, more powerful routers.

  4. Edge Treatment: Router bit sets often include bits specifically designed for edge treatment, such as creating decorative edges, grooves, or dados in wood. These bits can add ornamental details to woodworking projects.

  5. Durability: Carbide-tipped router bits are known for their longevity and ability to maintain a sharp cutting edge, which reduces the need for frequent bit replacement.

  7. Storage: Many router bit sets come with a storage case or organizer to keep the bits organized and protected when not in use.

  8. Safety: When using router bits, it's essential to follow safety precautions, including wearing appropriate safety gear such as eye protection and hearing protection. Proper techniques and router table setups are crucial to avoid accidents.

User questions & answers

Question: What angle is the 1/2 inch dovetail bit
Answer: ALl router bits contained in the set have a 1/2 inch shank. The set contains 5 dovetail bits of various sizes. I THINK they range from approximately 7° to 14°. It's an awesome set of bits. I've had mine for over a year.
Question: How well secured in the case. I bought some and they were loose in case and all chipped
Answer: The set I bought arrived undamaged, all of the bits are quite tight in their positions in the case. I've had this set for almost 5 years now.
Question: do thes same bits also come in 1/4" shank
Answer: Unfortunately in the 1/4" we only have this 50 Piece set https://www.amazon.com/Neiko-10109A-Woodworking-Tungsten-50-Piece/dp/B00UOW26T2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1483479035&sr=8-3&keywords=neiko+router+bits
Question: Is the shank long enough, my router is under table
Answer: Simply stated, yes. I have my router as a part of my table saw table and these bits all have long enough shanks. Also keep in mind your router also has a vertical adjustment so it usually should be able to adjust to even in normal circumstances put your shaft tightening nut in jeopardy of cutting into or hitting the work so in most cases I know of unless your router is one that you can not adjust the depth of the cut with , you should have no problems with these bits having a long enough shank. Also unless your table is set up so that the router is deeply set that the tightening nut is not ever able to hit the work when doing a cut then you are not going to have any problems with these bit shaft lengths. I certainly hope this helps and explains why. Good luck!

User questions & answers

Question: Can it be used on particleboard
Answer: the model number is 233p-ENCl has enclosure 233p does not amazon has 233p-ENCL for $224.99
Question: Hello, can this be used with a 1/4router? Thanks
Answer: yes.
Question: This may be dumb question. I am not sure difference between "router tool", "carving tool", and "dremel tool". Will these work in a dremel
Answer: We have a 100’ well with the pump sitting at a depth of 87’. We then have a 500’ run with an elevation gain of 600’. With a 1.5” pvc pipe running from well up to our 5000 gallon Cistern we receive 18 gallons per minute of good flow at the swing valve into our cistern. If we restrict the flow to 16gpm through our irrigation systems we have 120psi at the well head and 80psi at the zone valves located next to cistern. We primarily use this pump to fill the cistern to eliminate cycling of the pump as much as possible. Concern is it is a less expensive pump and don’t want to prematurely wear the motor due to cycling. In all we have had this pump in our well for a year now and have lifted 64,000 gallons of water without any concerns or issues. This pump pulls hard. Initially we used flexible poly pipe from wellhead down to motor but the pump will lunge into the well if not secured via cable and will separate from the poly pipe. We now have solvent welded pvc and all the weight is carried onto a braided cable to elimate pump lunging.
Question: Yes,this bit can be used in router that will accept a 1/4" shank
Answer: Hi, The weight is 57 lb, and the dimensions of the box are 34x14x6 , sometimes Amazon puts this box into another bigger box. But the absolute smallest package will be 34x14x6
