Turn the torch upside down, insert the fuel canister into the torch and press and hold for about an 8 count. You should feel the torch go cold. | Answer: | My only suggestion is to check the on/off push button on the side of the torch just below the head. I thought the torch would work on solar alone without turning this switch on, but I am guessing the switch has to be on regardless. Hope this helps. If it doesn't, push the button (with top still covered, and it should flicker. We keep our torches turned on all the time so they come on every night when it gets dark enough. But some people only use them for special occasions, parties, etc., so they would only turn them on for the day. But be sure to keep them in the sun so the batteries stay charged even when you are not using them. If you pull them up and put them in the garage or some dark place, they won't be fully charged when you want to use them. |

| Answer: | Hi Felix, The wicks can be replaced, and usually come packaged in multiples. The wick should last as long as the life of the torch. The wicks are fiberglass and shouldn't burn out. Ensure your wick is only 1/4" to 1/2" above the canister to begin your burn and it should last for the life of the torch. Your fuel will burn at approximately 1 oz per hour. Truly shouldn't have to replace a fiberglass wick. Let me know if i can be of further assistance. |

| Answer: | Hello! This is a great question! We have not tested these tiki torches with a clear coat before, so I can't recommend one way or another if it is something that would be beneficial to the longevity of the color. However, we strongly recommend inserting a PVC pipe into the ground to hold the tiki torch. This way, when it rains, the torch can be easily be removed and stored somewhere dry. Removing these torches from the rain will really help protect them! The PVC piping will help make removing and putting the tiki torches back in place much easier!
