Answer:	It tells u. But I would guess maybe half a pound. But one thing to let u know I wasn't aware of..if u put cash or change inside or anything u need to be sure its below the turning mechanisim for thr lock or thr lock gets stuck and won't unlock or relock..so the items nred to be under the lock.
