I had the same problem with roof nails protruding into my attic by a poor roofing job--looked like a porcupine. I cut the nails flush with 14" "hoof nippers" made by Diamond Tool and Horseshoe in Minnesota. You will need 14" inch for the leverage. They work great!--but they are kinda spendy... but will last a lifetime.

Answer:	These snips will cut a penny. Hold the coin with a pair of slip-joint pliers as it has a tendency to twist. That made things much easier.

Answer:	this is only tightener, both ends of straps are getting in, this tool is making need tension between both ends. It is not cutting, it is not binding at all. For binding you need clamps and clamping tool.

Question:	would these cut through a padlock
Answer:	It of course depends on the size of the padlock and the type of steel, but I do not think the 8-inch Tekton would do the job. These are fairly small. I have a "big brother" to the 8-inch Tekton and it might not even be enough. Look at the product description; many times the recommended size/diameter of wire/steel rod that the tool can cut is listed. Sorry that I could not provide a better answer.
Question:	Would the 12" work for cutting Closetmaid shelving racks
Answer:	I have the 9" and it cuts the clothes wire hangers real easy, but I don't have the 12" although the 12" is good for cutting bolts and locks so I think it shouldn't have problem cutting wire shelf hangers.
Question:	How come the 8-inch capacity is 3/16" and the 12-inch is 5/32"? 3/16" is bigger than 5/32", correct
Answer:	If you look at the pictures the 8" has a slightly different jaw design than the rest of the line. You'd have to take some measurements but the jaw geometry is probably slightly different allowing a larger opening (if scaled down proportionally like the rest of the line, it'd only have a 1/8" opening which isn't too useful. For wires or bolts that thin you could use any other cutting tool as well, so they probably had to change things up to make an 8-inch sized cutter useful.

Answer:	I tried it on a ABUS 64TI/40 Titalium Aluminum Alloy Padlock and the Nano Protect Steel Shackle and the padlock just laughed at me while putting indentations on the bolt cutter blades.

Answer:	I have only used it to cut 1/8” twisted stainless rope. It works very well for that.

How to use?

Step 1: Raise the handle of the cutter to make the pushing plate is away from the cutting plate fully.

Step 2: Insert a potato into the cutter lengthwise and slowly lower the handle until the potato is held securely between the pushing plate and cutting plate.

Step 3: Push down on the handle and the potato will be forced out through the bottom of the cutting plate.

Question:	Does it have a suction cup to hold it in place
Answer:	It does and works great for the first several times... then the suction cup loses it's grip. This makes it quite dangerous to use.
Question:	Can it cube/dice potatoes
Answer:	Well, I guess you could use it that way - push the potato out a little ways, and slice off the size of cube you want. But it is not designed to do that - it's just supposed to make long fries for regular potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots.
Question:	Is it all metal steel. Looks like the back is plastic
Answer:	The push plate has a plastic face... mine broke after 3 months... no word from the manufacturer
Question:	Will it cut a sweet potatoes
Answer:	A smaller sweet potato, yes (but it still takes some force)...anything above a smaller sized sweet potato is very, very difficult. I’ve tried numerous times and the potato typically gets stuck in the blade due to how dense it is. On the flip side, it is very easy cut a regular potato - in fact, the fries come out great!

Answer:	As long as it's standard barbed wire, absolutely.

Answer:	I used it on 1/8 stainless multistrand cable
Question:	Can these cut through a bike gear cable
Answer:	I cut 3/32 7X7 galvanized aircraft cable like it is butter. I first bought from Amazon a $26.53 pair of swagright cutters by Hit that are outstanding, I leave them in the shop. I carry these less than 1/2 the price cutters in the woods, they cut just as well.
