User questions & answers
Question: | Will these work on metal, i.e., broken bolt |
Answer: | The 3/8" hole saw arbors aren't actually hex because there are only three flat places on the arbor and it is rounded between the flat places. Will this extension work? |
Question: | Will these fit in my Dremel |
Answer: | Yes. You can use any combination of extensions together. Just make sure the set screws are tight. If you ever have one come apart in a deep hole; you'll understand. Also- you'll have to pull drill bit out to clean more often. Otherwise the chips will pack and increase chance you'll pull an extension off. |
Question: | I bought them, got them, but I don't understand how they fit into the drill. Does it require a special bit? If so, why doesn't it come with the set |
Answer: | You can replace hex head screw with a Allen set screw 1/8 size. |
Question: | Im working on a project that i need farite magnet discs for. Will these drill through farite |
Answer: | hex end 7/16" or 11mm fits 1/2 or 13mm chuck |

User questions & answers
Question: | Hello, How many holes on average per 1/4" bit to drill through glass pots? Thank you |
Answer: | I don't have a Dremel but I've used mine in 2 different drills. Seems standard to me. I know nothing of Dremel. |
Question: | What is the maximum counter top material thinkness the 1/2 bit can drill |
Answer: | Just put in like a regular drill bit Fits into the drill or I use them in my drill press to keep them straight to make the hole When using them , make sure to use water around the hole so not to break the item |
Question: | where are these made |
Answer: | There are two issues to consider. The strength, hardness and cutting ability of the abrasive and the strength and durability of the tool itself and of the bond holding the abrasive to the tool surface. These are diamond bits so the abrasive is competent for the task. However, the tool itself and the bond between the tool and the abrasive are both fairly soft and fairly low temperature alloys. I LOVE these bits because they are INEXPENSIVE. They will do the job. However, I ALWAYS keep them wet with water during drilling. They do not seem to weaken much at temperatures below the boiling point of water if you don't lean into them hard. If you run them dry, spin fast and push hard they will be nearly useless. I typically drill ceramic tile and porcelain tile with them and get an inch or two of hole depth (that's about 5 or six holes in floor tile) per bit, but would not hesitate to drill rare earth materials as long as I was willing to burn through a few bits and take a bit of time. If you have an industrial process in mind then there are better tools for the job at higher cost. If you have a few holes to drill and are not in a hurry these are up to the task.Understand, they are not pointed bits. If you need to hold a center you should be using a drill press and work vise or keeping them in position by inserting them through a predrilled hole in a positioning template. |
