Answer:	I bought mine in October, and it measured true. Four months later, it measures 3/16" longer per foot. I've read that fiberglass measuring tape doesn't stretch, and this is supposedly made of fiberglass per the product description - but this tape stretches out.

Answer:	Any tape measure will rust when exposed to water unless it has a stainless steel blade. Best practice is to always wipe the blade dry when exposed to excess moisture and do a final wipe with a dry rag which has a small amount of WD-40 sprayed on it.

Answer:	I've used it on metal. It works, but wears them down quickly. There may be other types of abrasives better with metal than aluminum oxide. If you're working on any kind of iron or steel, it will make lots of sparks, so clean up any sawdust you might have lying around before you start and do not use a vacuum or other dust collection system while sanding metal with it, or it will suck up the sparks and lead to a fire in the collector (don't bother to ask how I know this).
