Painting Step-By-Step:

- Paint in the following order: gables, main siding, windows, siding trim, doors.

- When painting siding, always paint from the top down, and paint next to the trim first, creating a border about two to three inches from the edge of the trim. Then begin painting the rest of the siding, remembering to paint under the edge.

- Paint in small sections of three to four clapboards and a few feet at a time, applying a fresh brush full of paint to unpainted areas and working back into the areas you've already done. Be sure to paint in the direction of the siding.

Answer:	The sealer or the Cool deck? For just sealer, as long as you clean the concrete, you can reseal over it every few years. If you are talking about the cool deck, you need to not only powerwash but use Encore's concrete cleaner before applying Cool Deck and then the sealer.

Answer:	Exterior paint should only be used on the exterior. The One Coat is offered in interior.

Answer:	It is flat paint BUT the cans failed all five of them. Some with half of the can full or empty however you want to see it. Will never buy again
Question:	Snow white vs. swiss coffee? how would the color description differ between those two and which is a lighter, brighter white
Answer:	If you want it shiny use high gloss, if you want a satin duller finish ( which I prefer) just use the satin finish no need for clear coat

Answer:	If the paint it chipping and not smooth you may want to sand down certain areas. But if it’s fine, the black should cover the white no problem.

Question:	Can i paint kitchen cabinets with this paint sprayer
Answer:	I didn't see any problem as low as you have the right paint. Just protect against over spray on things you don't want painted.
Question:	Is this electric or run by air
Answer:	Electric sprayer. But it is airless, you just plug it in to a 110 outlet...put the suction hose in a 5 gallon bucket of paint...and paint away!
Question:	If using outside, what sort of over spray does this create? I live on a busy street and don't want to end up getting cars parked nearby with overspray
Answer:	I've been a painter for over 20 yrs and used many sprayers, any paint atomized to spray will float 200 ft and stick to a car with very little breeze. Buy .01 mil plastic and cover any cars within 200 ft in the direction of any breeze, it the wind is blowing towards your back yard, paint quick before it changes direction. usually spray will settle within a 10 to 20 ft area from an outside wall with the most paint being in a 3 ft area below the wall. Plastic is cheaper than painting a nice car for someone else !!!
Question:	Can this spray benjamin moore advance paint (waterborne alkyd paint) unthinned? if yes, what size tip do i use
Answer:	The max spray tip is the key. I have a Graco X7 Magnum Pro and my max tip size is .017. This is found in the last two numbers of the number on the tip. So a tip marked 517 would mean that the spray tip orifice is .017. The “5” is half the width of the spray fan pattern. So the 517 tip would spray a pattern that is 10 inches wide (5 x 2) and would spray a paint that requires an .017 orifice which is a very thick paint. The orifice size requirement can be found in the paint specifications. This unit comes with a 515 tip, and I could not find the max tip size but I suspect this is it — .015 — which is a big orifice and can handle almost all latex or oil based paints but I would not use oil base in a sprayer because of clean up. Much easier to run water through it for clean up than mineral spirits. I am currently painting my deck and I’m using Sherwin-Williams Super Deck product which is thicker than normal paint, and I’m using a .015 spray tip. I’m using a 315 on the railings to limit overspray and conserve paint. The 315 will give me a 6” spray pattern and the .015 is within the manufactures specifications for this product. I could have used a .017 but it would have put out a lot more paint and made it a little more difficult to control overspray and conserve paint. I hope that helps. This is a great sprayer at a very good price, but follow the directions and make sure you clean it properly and use pump armor when stored.

Answer:	In my yes.
Question:	Will this work on a porous surface like a painted coconut bicycle cup holder
Answer:	Probably not.
Question:	Will this work to water prof terra cotta pots
Answer:	Why would you want to waterproof terra cotta pots. They were made to breath.
Question:	How is the viscocity out of the can, is it more like warm syrup or more like water...or somewhere in between? Thank you
Answer:	Maybe Slightly Thinner than warm Syrup, So probably between Warm Syrup & Water. A word of advice though, I had an extremely difficult time working with this product & had to sand and reapply many coats to get a satisfactory finish. It dries fast & if you run a brush over it after is has sat more than a minute it will create rough brush marks. Additionally if you apply more than a very thin layer it will crack similar to a crackle pattern. Unless you are putting this over a pure white background I would recommend that you use the standard "Crystal Clear" non-water based urethane. It has only a light yellow tint and is much easier to work with in my experience.
