Answer:	The pole has a 7/8 inch diameter to accept indoor finials. You will unscrew the brass screw at the top of the pole and the brass screw on the finial. You'll want an indoor flag that comes with a pole hem. You will slide the flag sleeve up the top flag pole, until the top of the flag reaches the brass screw. The indoor flag will have a tab at the top of the flag sleeve that you will slip onto the head of the brass screw to hold the flag in place. Thank you.

One has to completely remove both screws and then handle the weight of the tabletop that can switch its angle in the process (so where to hold) while choosing which next screw setting to use, spaced about two inches apart. It remains very secure once screwing in the knobs. Setting the "angle" of the tabletop itself is an absolute breeze.
