Question:	Has anyone tried to paint just the tire peeling area where Rust Oleum Epoxy shield has chipped away from the tire heat, using just a basic concrete paint
Answer:	It won't work. Just like the epoxy. .. The surface needs a deep etching before painting. Otherwise it will just peel off. Plus the epoxy is stronger than the paint. So putting a weaker product in a high wear area will fail even faster. The solution is using the high mileage epoxy clear coat over the standard epoxy. Then it won't peel under the tires
Question:	I have a work shop with a wood floor, would this stuff work using it on wood floor
Answer:	I used it in my brand new 10x12 wood shed with wood floor. Worked great! Strengthened the CDX plywood. I park two motorcycles in the shed and so far have no issues in the two months since I put it down. I stirred in the grit and spread the paint chips. Put a layer on a wood shelf and work bench. Very happy.
Question:	Can extra chips be added to this to give it a "granite" look
Answer:	I added more chips but didn't give a granite look but still looked nice. Just need to do the clear coat on top when you use more chip, that locks all the chips in.

Answer:	No. I had very little left over after doing my one car garage. Also, i would look to another product, as this stuff is garbage.

Question:	Hello. i have a different color of the same product already applied 2 years ago. can i apply the same product but a different color right in top of it
Answer:	Definitely not, you should remove the caulk completely then using a hand held sander go over the areas were the caulk was, then using hydraulic cement fill in the cracks and with a trowel smooth them over. If the floor was never etched etch the entire area to be finished, before you use the hydraulic cement.

Question:	Minimum temperature of aplication
Answer:	I've done 2 garage floors, 4 years apart. First time it came with cans you had to mix but the one I did this year came with pouches. Pouches worked better, press hard and center divider opens and then knead until it is mixed. Cut off a corner and pour into the paint tray.

Answer:	You mean peeling,no this product is for garage floors out of the sun, you’re going to have to scrape off all the loose paint, clean it real good and then they have exterior concrete primers for that you’re going to need and then the best patio paint they have two coats of the paint.
Question:	Do i need to buy concrere etch separately
Answer:	Acid etch is included in the kit. If your garage floor has oil stains, make sure you buy some degreaser and use it prior to etching.
Question:	Has anyone applied this paint over a cement garage floor with a sealer coating without doing all the recommended acid treatment. How did it turnout
Answer:	Not well. My contractor said he didn't need to do anything but scrub. But I did an acid wash the day prior, though probably not a perfect job. I stayed off for a week. Still peeled off where the tires sat.
Question:	Is this floor slick when it is dry
Answer:	It can be if it's not relatively clean. I've accidentally let some WD40 overspray get on the floor, and then later almost slipped and fell on my head! So - yes, certain spills can make it slippery. HOWEVER - it is NOT slippery if the surface is dry and relatively clean. Heck, WD40 or oil spills can make anything slippery. Just use your head and don't land on it! This coating is awesome - mine has been perfect for about 13 years now.

Answer:	Depends on how much flake appearance you want? I like a lot of flake personally. I bought two lbs on top of what comes with the three floor kits. I ended up using only two kits worth of epoxy, and all five bags of flakes on a 900+sqft garage.

Answer:	Rust-Oleum RockSolid Clear Topcoat is designed to be applied directly over RockSolid Garage Floor Coatings and RockSolid Metallic Floor Coatings, or it can also be used on bare concrete. RockSolid Clear Topcoat can be applied after 8-12 hours (ensure Garage Floor coating is not tacky) and within 7 days of applying RockSolid Garage or Metallic Floor coating. If more than 7 days has passed, sand the surface with 60-80 grit sandpaper before applying the second coat.
