Furniture/Cabinetry

Use as a top coat or primer on all properly prepared interior, new or painted surfaces. May be used on wood, concrete or metal surfaces that have been properly primed. As with all latex paint application, a clean, dry surface is required.

Mix Before Applying

Always mix well. When using multiple batches, to obtain color consistency, blend all paint together before painting. Paint may be applied with a roller, brush or spray. If necessary, paint may be thinned with water, although the addition of no more than 10% by volume is recommended.

Drying Time Instructions

Drying time depends on conditions at time of application, but is consistent with other latex paints and is approximately 2-6 hours. Do not wash painted surfaces before the paint has cured which optimally is 30 days after application. High humidity and temperatures below 50o F will prolong drying time. For clean up, offloading of brushes and rollers is recommended prior to washing with water and soap. Rinse well.

Recycle

Although buying the proper quantities of paint for a job is preferable to minimize paint that is leftover, any leftover paint should be brought to our local recycling facility for reprocessing and/or proper disposal.

However, if you are overly concerned about mildew in your basement, we offer 40400-1 Kitchen & Bath with Mildew, White Semi-Gloss with additional resistance for mildew protection. Another way to achieve additional protection is to, primer first with Kilz latex stain blocking primer, than paint with a finish coat. The product you selected is inexpensive compared to other offerings.

Clean & Prep

Remove any hardware, wash surface with soap and water and let dry. Remove any loose paint or rust and lightly sand glossy surfaces for better adhesion. Primer is not required for most surfaces, but recommended for bare wood or wood high in tannins such as redwood, mahogany and fir.

Brush On

If primer is used, wait 2 hours before applying finish. Stir thoroughly to re-disperse any settled pigment. Use a high quality synthetic brush to apply light even brush strokes. For each coat applied, allow 2 hours before next coat.

Top Coat

Once last coat dries for at least 8 hours, apply topcoat for extra protection. Apply 1-2 light even coats, waiting 2 hours between coats.

It’s nothing major and it’s worth doing if you have Dewalt batteries already. They’re virtually identical batteries just minor differences that you can bypass

Answer:	Yes, this product can be used on wood surfaces. Make sure the surface is clean before you paint. Do not use a cleaner. A cleaner can leave a film on the surface. Clear warm water and a sponge/soft rag is a safe way to clean the surface. Most people would use a gloss finish to paint kitchen cabinets and wood trim. Diamond Brite gloss white is number 80000-1.

Answer:	You need to primer the whole area. This paint is very thin, if you paint it over an uneven surface it's not going to help.

Answer:	This paint is for interior use only. FYI, most people paint interior bricks with a "high-gloss finish". Purchase 81000-1 gloss white if this sheen works for you. For exterior brick painting, use 31000-1 high gloss white oil paint. The outside temperature must be at least 60 degrees to dry properly.
