Answer:	Hi Pat,Mike the Glueologist here. It depends on what the back of the patch looks like. Most patche backs these days are plastic coated. Nothing will stick to that plastic. Some patch backs are plastic coated but have an embroidered fabric edge. It that's the case, apply Fabri-Tac to the exposed fabric embroidered edge and gently apply it to the acrylic yarn. It should do fine. If the patch back is exposed fabric, and has an embroidered edge, I would still apply it to the edge. IF there is no edge, apply it to the exposed fabric back. I have used it for fabric but also just got done using it to glue wood frames together. If you read the front of the bottle it lists a variety of materials it bonds.
