Answer:	Typically a framing square would be the most helpful with a roofing project. But if I had to choose one or the other, I guess the 12. While 7 is standard, it will not span the short dimension of the shingle.

Answer:	The kit has both a reader and a contactless pad. It works with contactless payment (Apple Pay), chips AND magnetic strips.
Question:	how long does it stay charged on average, with continued use
Answer:	Have learned to carry a charger with me for full day events. It's going to depend on how many transactions it processes. Mine will process about 12 transactions before needing to recharge in about 6 hours. Learned that first day I used it and it went dead. No other problems besides updates. Someone said it will stay charged for 18 hours. It will if its NOT used to process transactions. If you are doing an all day event, be safe and carry a charger.
Question:	Can this square chip reader be used with any phone

Answer:	No. This laser level and the tripod use the contractors tripod thread size of 5/8"-11 TPI, not the camera standard of 1/4"-20 TPI.

Answer:	No. Self-leveling, however you can set the tripod on a counter, table, chair to get the right height. Couple weeks ago I put it (just laser head, not tripod) on a bookshelf across the room about 6' high and adjusted by putting the right books under it.

Question:	Are the degrees metric or just the linear rule
Answer:	Hi Windell, There are "degrees common" that are just degrees and are outside hypotenuse. The next scale moving inward shows the degrees Hip-Val and are used when working in degrees for hip and valley rafters. Question:	Has anyone qualifed these for accuracy
Answer:	I can speak to having used these squares for over a year and they are dead on. I keep one or two on the table saw fence and use them before each cut to assure accuracy. I build fairly accurate boxes with tight tolerances and these squares are a great help.

Answer:	Yes. I checked them with some precision squares at work and I would say are within 0.01° of 90°.
Question:	So are these now stainless or what? Some past reviews suggest that they haven't always been
Answer:	NOT stainless. Woodstock International (Andrew C, Sr Tech Support Rep, EN#981247) sent me an email on 10/31/17 stating "Our squares are made of ground mild steel". My box even said stainless which is why I asked the manufacturer

Question:	The head machined, but is the blade machined as well? Or just stamped with rough edges
Answer:	I have both this combination square and a Starrett. The Starrett is, of course, much more expensive; however, the Starrett is more accurate and better made. For woodworking, there are some things for which accuracy is very important. The Irwin square I have is out of square by about 1/128" over its length. If I use this to set the angle of my table saw or to make sure my miter gauge is true. 1/128" over 12 inches may not seem like much but it's enough to cause parts I cut to not fit, particularly cutting a wide board. The Starrett combination square is one of the few tools that I use every day in my shop. I expect the Starrett to last my lifetime. In fact, I have a Starrett protractor head and rule that I inherited. It's decades old, but it's completely serviceable and a pleasure to use.

Johnson's 400EM-S Combination Square features a self-aligning drawbolt, etched stainless steel blade with 1/8", 1/16", 1/32", mm graduations, heavy duty 45° and 90° precision machined square head and a hardened removable scriber. A combination square is a tool used for multiple purposes in woodworking, stone masonry and metal working.

A combination square can reliably measure 90° and 45° angles. The 45° angle is used commonly in creating miter joints. It can be used to determine flatness on a board known as the face side.
