Answer:	You are correct they only work on 2.4. I have a mesh and had no issue with getting them set up. The instructions say that if you do receive an error to turn off your 5G while setting them up and turn it back on after set up is complete.

Answer:	It's available now. Download the Meross app and update the bulbs' firmware. The Home controls are weird and unintuitive and difficult to program in repeatable and meaningful ways, though (that's on Apple). I set the bulbs up in Home, Alexa, and the Meross app and can switch between platforms at will, but I end up using the routines I made in Alexa most often because I could never really get the color I wanted with any consistency. That's all on Apple's side, and I hope they give us more intuitive controls with the next update.
Question:	What if alexa cannot discover light, but the light works in the lifx (or homekit) app
Answer:	Yes - They work with Home Kit. They also work with Alexa, and their proprietary Meross app. In fact, we have them set up to work with all three. At once. The bulbs work pretty seamlessly, and you can switch between platforms at will. Caveat: The Apple Home kit does not support the full spectrum of color controls (well, it kind of does, but the color controls in Home are SO unwieldy that it's impossible to be specific with your color choices). The Alexa and Meross apps allow you to program the colors and intensity in much more meaningful ways, much more specifically, and WAY easier than the weird Home App controls. Home Kit works, but I look forward to seeing more intuitive and specific color controls. In the meanwhile, I end up using the routines I programmed in the Alexa app to control the lights more often than I use Siri or Home. Other caveat: You'll need to update the bulb firmware for Home to work well at all, so download the Meross app and do that first! It's simple and quick.

Answer:	Great question. Yes you can! As long as you have a cell phone signal and/or WiFi for your phone and the lights are connected to your home WiFi. I have my lights set up to turn off/on when I leave/arrive at home (using the free app Stringify), but occasionally check on the LIFX app just to make sure they were turned off. If they were not, I can turn them off with my phone from anywhere.

Question:	Can these bulbs be used with a traditional lamp shade
Answer:	So - the real answer is - 'it depends'. Are you using a basic home configuration with a cable / DSL router with WiFi or a ISP provided WiFi router? If so the answer is probably a large number of lights will in some cases have an impact. Either because your WiFi router has limits to the number of concurrent WiFi sessions (number of devices that can connect at the same time) or your WiFi signal isn't adequate in all areas or the house, or a combination of both.However if you are seriously considering a 'smart home' and leveraging IOT then you probably should be looking at a more robust home network. Separate your router / switch function from your WiFi and install a dedicated WiFi network using either wireless access points or a WiFi mesh network solution. Your wireless local area network (WLAN) then only has to deal with servicing WiFi signal and let your wired local area network (LAN) handle the connection between your ISP and home. Yes this is a bit more complicated (and more expensive) but if you are going to make an investment in IOT & smart home do it right. For example I am currently running 1 Echo and 5 Echo Dots, 54 WiFi smart bulbs (mostly TP-LINK LB100 & LB110) and some LIFX bulbs, 8 'smart plugs (TP-LINK & Belkin), 4 wireless cameras, a Harmony Hub - plus 2 laptops, 5 tablets, 3 smart TVs and a pair of smart DVD players. I have zero issues with bandwidth or concurrent connections. My network consists of UniFi access points, a pair of Unifi switches, a USG security gateway and a Unifi EdgeMax router (for load balancing between ISP). Each wireless access point handles 25+ concurrent connections easily. The smart bulbs do not really demand alot of bandwidth - the communication is only a few packets of data when changing state (off / on /dim etc.) except when doing a firmware upgrade. You can also go with something like Phillips or OSRAM but those are zigbee protocol devices - they also run at 2.4ghz but are not the same as WiFi. They are also slower to respond. Bottom line if you are going IOT - invest in the kind of home network you will need to support it, when you are spending upwards of $25.00 to $60.00 per light bulb, seems rather silly to go cheap on the network side of things.
Question:	Can this bulb be installed in an outdoor fixture
Answer:	If you switch them off, by an app or just turning off the switch, they should be the same color/brightness as when you turned them off, unless you've set up a timed event (through an app) for them to come on to a set program at whatever color/brightness. You can also save settings in many apps if find one you want to come back to.
Question:	Does this work with google home without any extra hub
Answer:	The Lifx bulbs are much better at producing blues and greens and can produce more lumens. Plus, the Lifx app uses a color wheel for selecting the colors which is better than the Philips app. I don't think it would be a good idea to use both in the same room because it would probably be difficult or impossible to match up the colors between bulbs.

Answer:	Yes! Well most anyway. I do not see this being compatible with the type of lamp shade that has the springs that rest on the bulb itself. Otherwise, it is roughly the size of a standard light bulb.

Answer:	LIFX bulbs don't require any hub unlike Phillips Bue bulbs. LIFX bulbs are in my opinion WAYYY better than HUE for that simple reason of no hub and ease of setup and use. At the moment, Google Home doesn't work directly with LIFX, but you can use their awesome App or IFTTT as a work around until they do. Google just announced recently that they opened up their API to all apps and developers, so I'm sure a LIFX integration will soon be coming. I have Google Home and love it, and it's only going to get better, and as stated before, LIFX bulb are just all around great! Color, brightness, App, easy to use and most importantly NO EXTRA hub make LIFX the superior smart bulb over any and all smart bulbs!! Hope this helps!

Answer:	You technically can, but unless you want your ceiling be a multi-colored one, use the A19 minis. The big A19 is basically a miniature br30. They all have similar function, but different purposes.
