Answer:	When you say "lantern fixtures", are you talking about regular household sockets? If so, then yes. And it will GREATLY brighten up your garage.

Answer:	The ones I put in were also 120volts. I believe these work on multiple voltage. I don't have the specs in front of me but I remember thinking I could use these with all the 60w lights I work on 120,208,240. Just remember to remove the ballast and connect the lines (L1 and Nuetral) directly to the bulb socket. Also these are E26 base bulbs so if your light is a standard base u will use them directly. The bulbs are long as well, look at the specs to make sure they will fit in the light. So far I don’t have any problem on it.

Answer:	These are not waterproof. From my observations when I got mine the entire led assembly on a aluminum frame and LED beads are exposed directly to the outside world. If you make a waterproof housing outside, I think it would works in the rain. There is no doubt that the heat dissipation of this design is excellent, compared with the waterproof type with PVC casing. I however use mine in the garage. As far as how long they last that would be a question for the manufacturer.

Question:	Dose this bulb durable than the plastic type? Will the heat dissipate better
Answer:	I bought a plastic corn lamp last year, and unfortunately it burned down very quickly, which is really dangerous. Recently I bought this one, and it is made of aluminum alloy, obviously the metal material is better for heat dissipation.And the seller's corn lights cost about the same as the plastic ones.But the stuff is great, and I would highly recommend this instead of the plastic corn lamp.

The price of this corn bulb is much cheaper than those professional photographic light. If you're not overly demanding, this is fine. Answer:	I can tell you that. Good question, I have it installed in sealed Appleton fixture, but recently I was asked the same question by my electrician. will look at the specification again but it may be best to contact the manufacturer. I have a friend he used a LED corn light bulb in an open bottom fixture and it has worked well for about two months but the heat build up in an enclosed fixture would most likely shorten its life quite a bit.
