Question:	whats the difference between 2251 and
Answer:	This airpot is 6 inches in diameter at the base. It is approximately 5 inches in diameter where the "black" top meets the stainless steel. It is 15.5 inches high. I bought TWO to use for coffee & decaf for meetings... to minimize the hassle of having to brew early mornings before meetings, I wanted to be able to make coffee at 11PM the night before to be used by noon the next day! I prime both pots with 20 cups (2 10-cup hot water runs of a Capresso coffee maker) of steaming hot water & let them sit for 90-120 minutes. Then I begin to brew the coffee... when the first 10 cups is brewed, I dump the water, pour in coffee, close pot, make second 10-cup pot, add to airpot, then make third 4-5 cup pot to top off airpot. The coffee is still steaming at 12-14 hour point... and if you drink coffee black, it is "drinkable" warm at 24 hours (steaming with 30-45 seconds in microwave). In fact, it will be slightly warm even at 36 hours... unless it has been kept in a cold environment that robs heat from the pot. I plan to start using an insulated grocery bag (that is supposed to keep food cold for up to 3 hours) as a "sleeve" over the pots overnight so they will cool down less between brewing and use the next morning.

Answer:	yes! ours burst in middle of night while we were sleeping. gushing water all night long. ruined hardwood floors and leaked to basement. $30k of damage. insurance company says the filters are known to do this. ours cracked on the bottom. the company says you need to replace filters regularly so they aren't liable. i say bulls*t. we just assumed if we didn't replace it, that we were drinking unfiltered water. we didn't realize that if you are held hostage to replace regularly otherwise the filter could literally burst open on the bottom and flood your house.

Answer:	I know that if you have hard water, it takes alot of minerals out and also if your water has a chlorine taste, this really makes a differrence in the taste of my water. I wouldn't be without it.

Answer:	No. Not at all. Anyone can adjust how strong or weak you want the flow rate by adjusting the knob on the right side of the shower head!!!

Answer:	Yes, there is a ball joint at the connection. However, the angles are not severe... 20 to 30 degrees perhaps.

Answer:	Other than price, I think the difference visually is the flared head design. I have the H and no flare but great pressure. I cannot speak to the HB's performance. Try googling Speakman's customer service and call them to get all the skinny.

Question:	Does this have a brass "color" finish or chrome like in the picture
Answer:	I had some noise going on, but fixed it by cleaning the screen inside
Question:	Does this come with teflon tape
Answer:	The threads on the handheld portion can be installed on an existing hose, but may need extra teflon tape to ensure a fit that doesn’t leak. I ended up swapping my existing hose with the one that SME with the shower head, and it works great! But be very careful to NOT over tighten the head to the hose if you end up using the Speakman hose, because the threaded female portion of the hose will crack (made of rigid plastic). If you use your existing hose, should be no problem.
Question:	What made you decide to get the 8 jet instead of the (less expensive) 6 jet? Thanks
Answer:	I installed this shower head for a friend and noticed the loose ball hinge, so I tightened it up tight so it was no longer loose. I have not showered with it so can't comment on it becoming tight when the water is on.

Answer:	keep the valve shut is all thats needed or any hardware store will have a service plug that screws in

Answer:	No rough in valve. Fully exposed and surface mount. Stub out hot and cold below fixture then turn 90 degrees up to make connection.
Question:	What is the thread size of the hot and cold water inlets
Answer:	½ NPT female swivel connections.
Question:	Has anyone made their own gooseneck to replace the short one that come with it? What's the pipe and thread size
Answer:	I didn' replace the goose neck but I did add a straight piece of half inch/npt threads x 24 inch galvanized pipe ( you select the length i.e. 12/24/36 or in between) to raise the shower head to the desired height. You might find a suitable chrome plated pipe/fitting at a local plumbing supply house. You will also need a 1/2" coupler assuming both ends of the added pipe are male threads. The pipe and fitting are easily available in galvanized pipe at your local hardware store/Lowe's/Home Depot. If you can't live with the galvanized look - prime & paint with a chrome look. Ps: I installed a hose bib on mine for convience. In that event. you will need a simple ball valve to divert flow to the hose bib when in use. Install the ball valve just above the tee between that and the shower head riser pipe. Note the fixture comes with a 1/2" plug installed on the bottom side of the tee to attach a hose bib.

Answer:	Absolutely. This is the best shower head I have been able to find that offers easily adjustable pressure. I took out the flow restrictor inside of the shower head before I installed which allowed for super strong pressure when needed and light pressure at the twist of the lever on the side. Honestly - this is the best shower head I have ever owned. Everyone that has used it at my house seems to agree as well.

Answer:	The two aren't identical, the 2251 had 8 nozzles while the 2252 has 6. You pay more for the 8 but from reviews I've read suggest 6 nozzles deliver a heavier, stronger overall flow. I have the 2252 and it's a delight!!! I'm guessing neither will disappoint you.

Answer:	This is a high pressure showerhead only if 80 Pounds per Square Inch is supplied through the water pipe to your house. If 35 Pounds per Square Inch pressure is supplied through the water pipe to your house this and every other showerhead will be a low pressure showerhead. Thanks to the State of California the standardized showerhead test conditions for Gallons Per Minute is 80 PSI. If you have 35 PSI pressure supplied to your home The real flow rate out of your standardized tested 2.5GPM showerhead will be closer to 1.25 gallons measured into a 5 gallon bucket in one minute. Now again, thanks to the State of California the 2.0 GPM and 2.5 GPM showerheads will no longer be sold. Good luck rinsing the soap off your back side.

Answer:	Definitely won't be too snug. I returned mine that I bought for my 17.3 inch Dell laptop. I could feel the laptop sliding in the case as I walked. If you ask me, the straps inside to hold it down are not very wide to provide a secure fit and there is insufficient padding. There was about 1.5 inches of extra space width-wise and 1 inch of extra space height-wise.

Answer:	This showerhead has 5 functions so it depends which one you are using.

Answer:	If you find the right shower arm you can do it, however, this is not a rain shower head, this a good old speakman shower head with a contemporary design. I am very please with the one I have but the feeling is different a rain shower head which is usually more gentle on the stream if you do not like good water pressure.
Question:	Does removing the flow restrictor have a noticeable increase in water pressure
Answer:	It all depends on your water pressure and the volume of water you plumbing can send through the pipes. The 2.0 would probably work better with two heads running at once than the 2.5, but again, it depends on your water supply.

Answer:	Flow restrictors reduce the gallons per minute by restricting flow. Personally not a satisfying shower when the flow is restricted. Like taking a shower in a mist. Buy either a 2.0 or 2.5gpm (gallons per minute) shower head and you won’t have to worry about any flow restrictor.
