Answer:	Par is the dia. of a lamp in 1/8" s of an inch. Par38 = 4 3/4".
Question:	is there a way to convert Lux readings to photographic EV values
Answer:	I'm throwing in this answer because I wasn't satisfied with the answer holdpeak gave. I interpreted the intent differently so I'll answer according to my interpretation. First, No this device does not have the capability of outputting an EV value based on it's light measurements or directly doing a conversion from LUX to EV. It is NOT for photographic use. Second,It is an industrial incident meter for measuring light reaching surfaces only and would be used to comply with OSHA standards for minimum required work space illumination levels as an example. Because photographic work requires knowing how much light is reaching the film this and similar meters will not give useable readings. An example would be a mirror and a piece of black velvet on a table lit by the same light source at 500 LUX. The mirror reflects nearly 100% of the light while the velvet only reflects 2%. The meter will not show the difference in reflected light levels! Third, There is No formula for the direct conversion of LUX to Photographic EVs. EV scales are relative to film speeds more than LUX levels so calculations become multi-step processes to go from LUX to EVs. However you can find a standard EV scale and a generic chart showing approximated LUX levels for various light sources on Wikipedia. Be aware that the standard EV scale is based on a film speed of ISO100. Any change in film speed requires a shift in EVs for any given LUX level. Comparing the charts and adjusting for film speeds can help you create your own EV scale based on relative LUX levels which does not change the requirement to measure light reaching the lens not just falling on a surface. Last, this meter can be used for balancing the illumination from multiple light sources on a stage set or display to be photographed but would still need a photo exposure meter to set the camera for the shoot after doing so.

Answer:	No, while it measures light levels, it doesn’t convert them for photo, cine, or video use. I use them to balance light on video shoots, but not determine settings.

Question:	Does this measure cfm? would this be a good tool for hvac
Answer:	Yes to CFM is part of the features: Temperature Units: -DegreeC/-DegreeF - Battery: 9V(6F22) Battery- Air Flow Units: CMM (Cubic Meters/Min), CFM (Cubic-Feet/Min) For HVAC if you are checking register outputs, this is great. If your trying too measure the main output duct off the system, it only measures any portion of the air stream you place it over. Since air moves at different sppeds inside a shape, it is not an accurate way to measure a large duct (note air does not move uniformly in corners as it does in a round duct.
Question:	What's the difference between the $31 basic and the $49 usb upgrade...seems like both units have a usb input for the anemometer sensor. confusing
Answer:	I'm not sure why they're using a USB connector for the sensor; I'm not even sure the sensor is sending real USB signals or if they're using that style of connector because it's cheap and convenient for the number of wires they needed to connect to. The optional USB feature on the other hand, that's an actual USB port that allows you to dump collected data to a computer.
Question:	Is the wand waterproof? I would like to use it to measure water flow in a small stream

Question:	Hi, is this unit able to capture peak current draw? I want to see if my audio amplifier ever gets close to tripping my breaker
Answer:	This will only plug into a 120 VAC outlet. The standard 120 VAC outlet in almost all homes is only rated 15A continuous duty, but can take more for a second like when a room air conditioner compressor starts up. This is probably following those same rules. If the wiring is 12 gauge or thicker, it can be hooked to a 20 amp breaker even though all of the outlets in the average house are rated 15A, at least in most states. The reality of the matter is that wiring and outlets can always take somewhat more than the ratings and everything is oversized for safety. But is is always considered unsafe to plug in any device that uses more than 15 amps into a typical house outlet. An exception is commercial outlets that fit both home devices and heavier duty commercial device plugs and those outlets are usually rated at 20 amp. Those outlets are more common in businesses and uncommon in homes. An air conditioner or commercial refrigerator that uses more than about 10 continuous amps will normally be a 240 volt appliance and require different type of outlet designed for 240 volts, same is true of typical electric clothes dryer and this device would not adapt to those.
Question:	Will this work with two prong (non-grounded) outlets
Answer:	This device, the P4400, will reset all of its timed measurement values to zero if power is lost or the device is unplugged. The P4460 has "non volatile" memory, using a battery to provide the necessary voltage to power the (S)RAM memory, which means that it will not lose the data if power to the 4460 is lost. The P4460 also will let you input the cost per KWH from your provider to calculate the cost to operate the appliance over a week, month and year (assuming that your use is the same during the extrapolated period as it was during the measurement period). For me the data retention feature is well worth the extra $4 since I want to keep track of the energy used by a window air conditioner which will vary by the outdoor temperature, the sun hitting the building, the humidity, etc.

Answer:	Hello, the correct wire is typically referred to as 10/3 with ground, but yes 10/4 would be the correct amount of wires. Reliance Controls videos have the 10/3 with ground used in install videos. Any other video done by others may not have the correct wire.

Answer:	Hello and thanks for your question! The PB30 inlet box is just a plug for a generator cord in an outdoor rated enclosure. It is used to connect a generator cord and then bring the wiring into a building to connect to what should be a transfer switch or device. The wiring from the PB30 brought inside doesn’t have to connect to a transfer switch for the power to be utilized, but every state law requires a transfer device to connect generator power to. Answer:	I didn't use any pad, just set the truck frame directly on them. I guess you could cut a piece of mudflap or conveyer belt if you're doing something where your worried about the frame slipping.
