Since then, I bought a blade set for it that has wood, metal, and more multipurpose blades. It works great. I've used it for several projects and have not been disappointed. I find that the blades cut very well through wood of varied types. I haven't had to use it on metal yet,but would imagine that it performs just as well, depending on the material and thickness. As for pipe, I think that you'd have no trouble with copper or galvanized. |

| Answer: | It can be made to work. Look inside the plastic (round coupling) on the Craftsman attachment. If you compare it to a B&D attachment, you will notice two horizontal tabs on each side - these prevent the Craftsman unit from slipping all the way onto the B&D base. I used an Xacto blade and carefully shaved the plastic down (on the inside of the cylinder) to make the sides flush; once this was done it fit the B&D Matrix unit and operated as it should. Be extra careful when doing this - mostly you have to take care not to cut yourself! I think there may be two series of B&D units; one may accept these tabs, the other will require this alteration to work. |

| Answer: | It is possible but I think unlikely. The largest piece is #13. #13 is smaller than 13/16th inch nut by around 2 mm. It has to be hammered in. But it is likely that it will deform the top of the nut and not go in enough to get a grip. |

| Answer: | Well, they're branded Craftsman (or Irwin or Snap-on, etc.). They're probably not Irwin, but a rebrand of the product that one company produces for the market. I bought the two five-piece sets of Craftsman sockets to get the full complement when they were introduced in the fall of 1995. Mine, however, didn't have a square ratchet opening; they can be turned with a socket or a wrench. The opening at the end of mine is to allow clearance for a stud or threaded rod. These are considered shallow; you can get sets of deep "turbo" sockets, as well. |

I am going to modify one of these with a Cree LED, but that would require a large heat sink.
