Answer:	I am pretty sure that the yellow strips are there for safety reasons; neither the black rubber nor the grey concrete would be very visible in an otherwise dark garage or at night, and it would be easy to accidentally trip over the strip without the yellow highlight. Just guessing here of course, as I have not yet installed my threshold.

Question:	If there is ice that gets between the garage door base and the seal, will the ice stick to the seal material in freezing conditions
Answer:	It is a flexible black rubber strip with a raised yellow rubber center strip. You adhere it to your floor with your own adhesive and the strip follows the contour of the floor. If you want a level installation, floor leveling compounds are available from big box DIY stores. I have never used one so i cannot advise except to say you should watch YouTube videos to see if you can level just your threshold, if that is what you desire to do.

Question:	Will this seal a 1 1/4" gap or would I need another rubber seal
Answer:	We have not had freezing temperatures here yet in South Carolina to test the material but I would think it would be ok. The material would compare to automobile tire rubber. It is extremely durable. Temps that cold, the garage door would be closed anyway and water will not get under the door seal.
Question:	Do the aluminum tracks have pre-drilled holes for the screws
Answer:	This is easy to install yourself. If you don't have the minimal skills to do it yourself or don't want to, any local handyman should be able to do it without any problems. I installed one last year at my son's home in North Carolina on the Outer Banks. He had water seeping into his garage any time he had wind driven rain directly hitting his double wide garage door. Since I installed this product, he hasn't had any issues.
Question:	Does the rubber have any umph to it? Thin/cheap? Flatten like a pancake? Or does it, for the most part, maintain its shape? ..bounce back
Answer:	I don’t think that would work. It’s not heavy enough to stay in place without gluing it down and water would run under it.
Question:	Is the metal track one long 18 foot peice or is it two 9 foot pieces
Answer:	I used Liquid Nails outdoor construction adhesive. After sealing, I lowered the door to apply pressure to trim.

Question:	Do you need to use sealer
Answer:	This seal is not big enough to bridge a gap that big - it won't handle much more than 1/2". I bought a different seal - Garage Door Parts Clopay T-end Bottom Rubber Seal - 4 1/2"x20' - and used it with the same track in this kit. It can probably handle up to 2". My garage door has a gap of 1 1/4" either end (of a 16ft door) and it seals really nicely.
Question:	For those who used liquid nails construction adhesive to put it down, how long before you could drive your car over it into the garage
Answer:	No. There are no pre-drilled holes in the aluminum.
Question:	Is it solid rubber, or is it hollow inside
Answer:	It is not thin or cheap and it does compress as you would expect; it does bounce back. I have a slightly sloped floor (or door) and the rubber completely compresses on one side and not so much on the side that is a bit (1/4') lower. Performs well.
Question:	Can you apply this to a garage floor that has epoxy on it
Answer:	it comes in (4) 4-1/2 ft. long pieces... my door is only 16 wide so I cut them down to 4 ft each (soft aluminum... used a hacksaw) and deburred the edges with a sanding block... as long as you line them up when attaching them, the appearance is seamless and there were no issues pushing the gasket on (with a helper is easier... one person feeds one end and the other person glides the leading edge across).

Answer:	I don't know what the manufacturer's recommendation is. I laid an "S" bead of liquid nails construction adhesive down, then closed the garage door onto the seal. A couple of hours later, I needed to leave and drove my car over it without issue. Good Luck with your project!

Question:	I can’t buy the correct rubber seal to fit in the channel on the bottom of my metal door, can I trim the width of this seal and glue onto the door
Answer:	I NEVER cemented or glued this seal to the garage floor; this seal stays in place on its own. Just unroll the weathgerstrip and then roll it up the opposite way to counter the way it was originally rolled up. Then unroll it again and it should lie flat and in position on the garage floor. After you cut to length, just lie the weatherstrip on the garage floor where the garage door will rest on it when the garage door is lowered. I have never experienced the weatherstrip move while driving the car over it. And, I have had this weatherstip in place for quite some time.

Answer:	I used it in a place where a tiled outdoor patio sometimes gets rain water that doesn't drain fast enough and then gets up to the sliding door and into the tile floor inside the house, so I put this strip down very carefully to guarantee a seal and it works. It's just high enough, water won't get past it.

Answer:	If the gap below the door is too small, tear off the front strip to create a straight edge for the door to close to. This feature is unique to the Weather Defender garage door threshold floor seal.

Answer:	The height of the Weather Defender ORIGINAL threshold seal is 10/16" and is available in different lengths including enough adhesive as part of the stripping kit. Answer:	I would say it needs to be adhered (as we did ours) or it would be susceptible to movement. That defeats the purpose of sealing out wind and water. Also, if not properly aligned, your door may not close as it should.

Answer:	I doubt it. I would maybe look at getting something you attach to the door as weather stripping.

Answer:	It should as long as your door is sitting flush on the seal, anything bigger than a half inch gap could possibly let the mice in.

Answer:	The ad says it is 1/2" and that is exactly what the product delivered was measured to be. I used one tube of readily available "PL-Premium" adhesive which holds very well.
Question:	I need two 8 foot sections. Is the 16 foot true 16 foot? Or should I buy the 20 foot to be on the safe side
Answer:	Yes it does stay in place without glue, as it lays flat when un-rolled and it is heavy duty enough to not move unless physically moved. I use it under my 2-car garage door and it stays in place just fine with the regular opening and closing of the door. I bought it primarily for sealing out the wind, dust, etc., and it does that perfectly. However, I do not drive the cars out very often, which could cause movement (they are collector cars), but so far, no issue.
Question:	I have gaps between floor and garage door (16') on the sides of ~1.5" and almost 2". How big a gap can this seal deal with? 1/2 of the
Answer:	It is longer than 10 ft. Mine I needed to cut about 6 inches to tight fit on 10 ft. Garage opening.

Question:	Do you need adhesive
Answer:	I’m not sure I understand your question but if you have a gap of over 1” that is not consistent across the 16’ door no product will cover that gap. You will need to have some floor repair to level out the surface. If you have a 2” gap over the width of the door, you can adjust the door closing height and use this product.
