Answer:	I have not had any trouble with whistling and they do a good job of blocking the air. Try leaving the vent partially open and then put the cover on if it continues to whistle.

Answer:	I do. The beige is sort of cream. Maybe I am not fussy, but it's ok with me. I don't see how to attach a photo o this answer.

Answer:	Yes, it would works with all types of floors. To install you just need to put the Styrofoam with a little pressure but not too firmly on the carpet floor then attach the adhesive side to the door.
Question:	Is it weighted so it presses against floor and makes a tight seal
Answer:	It is NOT weighted. The round part that presses against the floor is a styrofoam tube that slides into a sleeve. You can cut it very easily to fit the door. We have placed it on the door that leads to the garage and have not noticed any cold air coming in.
Question:	I have old wooden floors so the space between door and floor is uneven. any easy way to fix the problem so i can use this product
Answer:	In this case , you still can use the product to close the gap by pressing the tube down on the floor and measuring the the height from both side but the result of the product height after attached to the door may be different between both side.

Answer:	Yes, it has a strong odor to it. I am sensitive to fragrances and chemicals but this is stronger smelling than any tape I've ever used before. This tape will permeate the entire room. I've only used it in one room for about 3 days and its still strong. I will probably be removing it.
Question:	Would it work to cover the aluminum on the inside of the window to avoid condensation
Answer:	To me it seemed to just be really thick packaging tape. I don't know how well it would work on aluminum though. I have used it on a broken corner of the window pane. With the cold weather when I bake the interior windows get condensation. This condensation also accumulates on The repaired area of glass. Hope this info helps.
Question:	Is this tape heavier than packing tape? One reviewer said packing tape would have worked just as well
Answer:	The 3M Interior Transparent Weather Sealing Tape is indeed heavier than clear packing tape but also more of a flexible, "vinyl" kind of material. Packing tape will not conform to the transitions between glass and frame as well and I believe if left exposed to constant temperature changes, humidity and direct sunlight it would dry and become brittle, much the same as it does on cardboard boxes after lengthy periods. The 3M tape I applied to a bedroom window in April 2012 is still doing the job of sealing air leaks as well today, as when first applied. I just don't think clear packing tape would have lasted this long. As another posted replied, this tape is also nearly invisible once applied.

Answer:	If you aren’t going to take it on and off, it should be fine painted. But it’s flexible, so if you bend it to remove and replace it, the paint will not likely hold up.

Answer:	I just made sure the metal pieces fit inside the open hole and slid the unit on. In my case the cover was a little wider than the hole was

Question:	Are these reusable? Like I change change them from one room vent to another
Answer:	Absolutely! As long as you dont cut them to fit (which isn't needed). I use them in my upstairs in the winter to close off the heat in the upstairs and then change to the vents in the downstairs in the summer. They work wonders!
Question:	Is this safe to use when the heat is on? I don’t want this to catch on fire
Answer:	It is made to use when heat is on. The composition appears to be a flexible metallic base covered by vinyl. I don’t know what temp your air is from your furnace, but it should be safe for a normal furnace vent temp of 140 to 170 degrees
Question:	Will this help force Air conditioning upstairs
Answer:	No. It only stops heat or air from coming out of the register that you cover
Question:	Would this block odors from my neighbors apartment? He is a smoker and I’m sick of smelling his cigarettes in my bathroom
