Question:	Can this be installed in a shower? Waterproof
Answer:	Hello, yes the LuxHeat system is rated for wet areas, however as with all heating for wet areas, the splice (joint between element/burgandy wire and cold lead/black wire), must be outside the shower. In the case of the mat, you can simply remove the tape holding the first 2-3 feet of wire and place the splice outside the shower by about 2 feet.
Question:	What is the actual length of the mesh? I'm finding 2 different answers
Answer:	Hello, the 20sqft mat is 12.2ft long by 20inches wide.
Question:	Does this need to be installed the mesh in a bed of mortar first or can I apply my mortar as I tile and do it all in one step
Answer:	Hello, you can apply your mortar as you tile, however if you choose this method to install you must make special effort to see that all wires are well covered with mortar. If a heating wire is not covered with mortar there will be no heatsink and the wire will run to hot. As long as the wires are well covered it'll be fine.

Answer:	Wouldn't be the same thickness as if with two other filters? I don't see much choice if you want to use this or other pouches. Buy it on Amazon and return it if it does not suit your needs.

Answer:	You can by extenders at any hardware store. Harbor Freight is the cheapest and has the best selection. There ones that are magnectic and ones that aren't. It doesn't matter what you put in the end of an extender a brush or a driver bit, they are the same connection

Answer:	Hello, yes the LuxHeat floor heating system can be used under wood, however we'd still suggest you contact the manufacturer or distributor to see if their wood product can be installed with floor heating. When installing the floor heating cable under wood you always want to make sure the cables are well covered with a leveling compound or self-leveling screed. This protects the cables and provides sufficient heat-sink, it also ensures an even heat distribution.

Question:	Can I add more cable to this to do a 308 square foot floor? Also, is the touch screen wireless
Answer:	Hello, you can install multiple cables in one area but they must be connected to the thermostat in parallel. One must never connect heaters in series (making it into one long cable). Another important point to note is the standard thermostat can handle 3600watts of heating on a 240volt circuit, or 1800watts on a 120volt circuit. This is our 240volt range so you'll be limited to 3600watts on a single controller. LuxHeat floor heating is rated at 12watts/sqft at 3inch spacing, therefore you'll be limited to 300sqft (300sqft x 12w = 3600watts), this can be made up with a 160sqft cable + a 140sqft cable. If you want to install more you have the option to include a power relay, this option can increase your total load beyond 5000watts but we'd suggest involving an electrician to make sure all wiring is correct. This thermostat does not have the wifi capabilities however we do offer the wifi thermostat and cable, refer to ASIN B086DFXWFF. Search LuxHeat floor heating for our full range.
Question:	Will it work sandwiched between a concrete slab and a topping concrete slab
Answer:	Hello, it depends on a couple of points, 1. The thickness of the top slab, 2. Is there is any insulation on or below the lower concrete slab, 3. What wire spacing do you plan to use, and 4. How much of the floor area are you planning to cover. The idea would be to limit the downward heat loss by installing your heating cable on an insulation board. With a thick slab on the top and no insulation below you'll have a very inefficient system.
Question:	can this be placed in the shower floor
Answer:	Hello, yes the heating cable can be placed in the shower, however, as with all floor heating one should keep the splice (join between heating element 'burgundy wire' and the cold lead 'black wire') about 2 ft outside the shower area.
Question:	Can this be placed under LVP
Answer:	Hello, it's generally okay if there is sufficient mortar or self-leveling screed covering the heating installation as this helps provide an even heat distribution. However there are many different qualities of flooring so it's always best to to consult your flooring manufacturer.

Answer:	I don’t weigh 400 so I don’t know but it is very sturdy. It may well handle that. The bike itself weighs 75 lbs+_

Floor Heating Cable

The Electric Floor Heating Cable consists of a spool of heating cable.  Simply run the cable 3" apart across the area to heat using the cable guides to secure to the floor running the cold lead up the wall to the electrical box.  These heating systems are ideal for odd shaped areas or to heat around objects.  The RED HEATING ELEMENT CAN NOT BE CUT, so be sure to accurately measure the space you are heating.

Installation Monitor

CABLE GUIDES

Designed for fast installation of the the heating cable, simply loop the floor heating cable around the guide as you lay the cable system across the subfloor.

Secure the cable guides according to the planned layout using screws, nails, adhesive or glue approved for use with the given subfloor.  The heating element should be spaced 3" apart across the area to be heated.  Cable guides should be run perpendicular to heating cables.  The heating cables should have a minimum distance of 2" from walls and objects. Spacing between cable guides should not exceed 36" in distance.  Secure the heating element to cable guides by wrapping the wire around the stud.  Maintain moderate tension of cable throughout installation.  Do not twist heating element and keep the minimum bending radius of the cable to 1".

Cable guides are 12" long and can be cut to length. Includes enough cable guides for cable heating system.

Answer:	I can just squeeze three Tiffen 77mm sized cases in this pouch but the front flap will barely close. Bower filter cases are even larger and are a real stretch to make fit.
Question:	I have a concrete slab that I would like to add electric floor heating and tile over it. How do I avoid moisture build up with this product
Answer:	Yes, it can, but you may find it too large for the 40.5 size and therefore not as convenient to use? I use it for 77mm filters and they fit very inside perfectly. It is very well made and I really like it.
Question:	Can this be used when installing a drop-in tub to keep bath water warm
Answer:	The belt loop is a sewn on nylon belt that closes with Velcro. The Velcro "pinches" the belt strap on both top and bottom -- it Velcro's to the body of the pack then a flap comes over and secures the closure from the other side. It is locked so well it is kind of difficult to get off. I am pretty satisfied with its security, BUT, I never use it on my belt. I keep it in my camera bag.
