Answer:	I don't know. However, I had it running for an hour in the garage during one of the coldest periods Winter 2014. The cord didn't melt. There's an extensive description of the heater on a Facebook page. It describes the cord as a Triple Tap. Don't know if that helps. Answer:	It's probably a case of who provides the shipping, handling and convenience.

Answer:	Should work good for that. It had two settings for heat but the fan only runs a constant speed. The two heat settings are 1200 watts and 1500 watts. The 1200 watt setting is a bit more than a 900 watt hand held hair dryer. Where you place the heater while working out will help too. About 12 to 15 feet I’d say. Hard to determine the distance without knowing how cold the garage is to begin with. I use it in my front room that’s 60° and I set the heater 10 feet away on low setting to watch TV and it’s perfect. Hope this helps.
