Answer:	I use a fluorocarbon leader with the braided line in clear water and attach it with an Alberto knot. Attach the braided line to the fluorocarbon, not vice versa. Also, some species aren't as "gut shy" as others - i.e. trout are "gut shy" and catfish not so much.

Answer:	I fishing clear water so I run 15# braid to 10# floro leader. I target bass and have had zero issues with that selection. Sometimes when the fish are finicky I drop a couple pounds on the floro leader. All I use is baitcasters and it casts great. Never had an issue with picking out an occasional backlash.

Answer:	are you going bass fishing? with that 15 pound? even though i wasnt happy with the spec they gave out. in general braided line is much better than mono. im guessing the breaking strength would be like around 10 to 12 pounds for a 15 pound braided line. so i would buy a slighter stronger line to be safe.and also you should tie on mono leader so in case your line got stuck on something the mono would break first and you wont lose your whole braided line.if your using a 15 pound braid ,put on a 10 pound monon leader. and the mono also gives the line some stretch so you don't rip the hook out of fish mouth. ps. these braided line are still much thiner than the mono line what you would buy. but if you want real high quality braided line i would buy power pro braided line. they have some really thin fishing line. like a 20 pound mono is equivalent a 45 pound test braided from power pro. however, these line are much more expensive.

Answer:	Leader goes on the end of any fishing line. This line would do well to add on 2-10 feet to your existing line. Not for pike or walleye type of fishing where a more structurally type of leader is needed. It's really just a basic fishing line that's a little better to add to a bigger inexpensive line if used as a leader. I'm buying to spool it all on though.

Answer:	I realize it's an old question, but in case others wondering the same thing... It is a strong line, been using it all my life, but you must base the lb strength on the fish you're going after. Which color depends on the color/clarity of the water you are fishing. Whether it's day or night (moon light reflects on line too) isn't the biggest issue. I fish in crystal clear water (can see 30' down easily) and slightly green tinted (algae) waters. I switched from clear to lo-vis green and that was the game changer, way more bites.
