Answer:	most cases are in units of 12 whenever I bought them, Do a unit cost ( COST DIVIDED BUY NUMBER OF FILTERS ) and unless you use a lot of them and change filters often buy in units of 4 which will last a year changing quarterly.....who knows, maybe system breaks and you replace leaving you with unused filters. Answer:	For our home, because we have 2 indoor cats, we check the filter every 2 months, if it needs changing then we do it. Sometimes we can go 3 months. these filters are so much better then the thin ones.

Answer:	I have 2 5T units in house that uses this filter and after changing many various Mfr filters which all seemed to work comparably well and about the same in last 21+ years, never once did I ever think about counting pleats. All I ever counted was the price! Did I miss something?? Bill
Question:	Filtrete has 40 pleats per foot. The more pleats, the more filter is being used in the product and the more surface is available for removing crap

Question:	does this product contain any fiberglass and can it be used in mask filtration
Answer:	The N95 masks are the equivalent to a MERV 16. Our MERV 13 filters are made with a 100% synthetic filter media with a wire backing glued in a cardboard frame. There are no harmful materials in the MERV 13 media itself. If you use the media it will not filter as small of a partical as the N95 but it help filter out 1.0–0.3 μm particle size. These filters can filter bacteria, droplet nuclei (sneeze), cooking oil, most smoke and insecticide dust, most face powder, and most paint pigments.

Answer:	...Griffen, he was the original o.g, the triple diple o.g, the double o. capital .g, the Ompa Oprah talk show host of his time! HEEEERRRRRRREEEEE'SSSSS...MERV!! I'm just kidding! It stands for; "Minimum Efficiency Rating Value" There are 1-16 ratings with "1" being the worst and " 16" of course being the best! I tend to get the MERV11 in a 4" thick pleated filter because it traps everything I'm most worried about like dust, mites, pet dander, bacterias, allergic pollen and when my daughter cooks or burns something in the oven, kitchen smoke! Keeping all that "sheet" out of the distribution process of hot/cold air being deposited throughout the many registers in my house not only protects my family, but it helps to prolong the system and house by keeping it all clean and dust free!! Don't skimp when it comes to selecting that MERV rated filter or you may end up replacing more than just the filter. Read the specs on the system you own to be sure you're using the correct size filter and change it every six months or less depending on your environment.

Answer:	I am not sure about this brand, but we have the Honeywell Fr8000F2025 which is the equivalent of it and it does have the foil taps on it. Filter Shipping

Answer:	no such animal. you'll have to insert a 20x20 in the frame of the reusable filter that came with the unit. requires some metal cutting and some duct tape. you could also contact a custom filter maker.

Answer:	I ordered the Carrier filter twice, each from a different supplier. The first order I received was a Carrier filter, the second filter was a Bryant filter.My heater serviceman said they are interchangeable.
