Normally sports mouth guards we make, like all the other mouth guard companies, are to protect your front teeth from getting knocked out but for powerlifting, you shouldn't have that kind of problem unless you drop a bar on your face. Having a lower mouthpiece will make it much easier for you to breath and speak with it in and because it won't cover your palate, it would be much more comfortable as well. What happens is, the hook side of the Velcro will only adhere to a small part of the loop side that results in a lesser adhesive strength. From my experience, this causes the head gear to slip and/or come off altogether. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes, I bought this for my 4 yr old daughter. It was too big and we cut it to size with no problem. I cut it it before boiling it and smoothed out the rough edges. My daughter says it very comfortable and hasn't had any problems keeping it in her.

Answer:	Pull the black end out of the blue mouthpiece. Loop it through the helmet guard in front and reconnect to the mouthpiece. Hope this helps!
Question:	My daughter does jujitsu. Will this work
Answer:	No. This mouthgard is for the top teeth only. I suppose you could wear it facing down, but it is designed for one row of teeth (with space for braces). My teenage son used this for boxing, wrestling and Jiu Jitsu with no teeth, tongue or lip injury. Make sure you buy the correct size, there is an adult and youth version. The youth version was too small for him when he was 13.

There is a youth version of this exact same mouth guard which is what we would recommend for any 9 year old with braces. Answer:	I have played rugby for 12 years - this is the ONLY mouthguard I like to use. I've used this exact style for 10 years. It molds well - has enough padding for absorbing contact - and most importantly I can breathe and talk while wearing it. I forget I have it in. When they stopped selling them in local sports stores and only sold bulkier Shock Doctor mouthguards, I bought 5 of these on Amazon. Can't recommend this mouthguard strongly enough...
Question:	does it come with a top and bottom, or do you have to buy it separately
Answer:	The mouthguard only comes with one piece. This is a "single" mouthguard. If you need one protects both top and bottom teeth, choose a "double" mouthguard.
