Question:	How r they for beginners and the quality I have a plywood target
Answer:	Good on plywood. Better on softened wood. Make sure the wood has been softened by water & dried before expecting them to stick in the target. As far as blades for beginners, the heavier the blade, the easier it is for a learner to learn the balance & rotation for the throw. Hope this helps.
Question:	Is it good quality
Answer:	I'm happy with the quality at this point. A cheap throwing knife will usually show it's poor quality within the first 50 throws, resulting in bent or broken tips. Mine have been thrown well over that mark, by a few people of different skills, with no bends or breaks.
Question:	Is this knife handle heavy, blade heavy, or balanced
Answer:	i checked from the center of the knives' overall length and found that when balanced at that point the throwers each fell toward the handle meaning the design is HANDLE HEAVY. after repeat testing i found the balance point to be between 1/8th and 1/4 inch closer to the handle side than blade side. the uneven distribution of weight and the non-traditional shape means the knife behaves a little differently than the typical thrower but it is easy to get used to and in my opinion gives them unique character, which is fun.

Answer:	I bought them for my boyfriend for his birthday. They are smaller than the ones he had started throwing with so they were a little hard to figure and throw right. He throws at a huge chunk of soft wood, hard wood will bend/snap the tips. Another thing you might want to try is Hatches, I watch my bf throw them all the time and tried it myself and loved it! Be careful, if you throw one and it hits another one or a hard something they can snap right in half..good luck!

Answer:	I can fit my entire pinky through the hole, my index finger goes down to the second knuckle. I am an adult male with medium sized hands. The carrying case/pouch has elastic velcro straps. You could strap it to your leg, but with walking or running I think it would slide down. They don't have a lot of weight to them. I don't think they would have any power beyond 15-20 feet. Question:	Are there Sharp
Answer:	The entire hatchet is made from 1 piece of steel. The handle and head will never separate. The handle is covered by stacked leather rings. My dad has a similar hatchet that is probably at least 50 years old and the handle (and leather covering ) is still good. I do not know if the leather rings can be replaced. Maybe you should contact Estwing directly. Perhaps the leather rings could be replaced by a slip on rubber covering, as found on similar tools such as hammers and even other hatchets in the Estwing line. Perhaps the truckbed liner from a company such as Plastikote might work. A company called Plasti Dip makes some similar products.

Answer:	My sheath says "No.2 Made in USA." And had the Estwing logo on the other side. It is plain leather other than that.

Answer:	Yes, as long as you have average finger size, then the holes are plenty big to put a finger through.

Answer:	I would recommend the 11" knives. The 9" are balanced but with any distance there is a loss of velocity and therefore penetration. I would not personally purchase the 9" again but would try the larger version. We had to change from plywood to cardboard. Hope this helps....
Question:	What size is the ring
Answer:	The knife is stainless, and with a near-perfect throw spinning /with/ the grain of an oak board, might stick fast. I would suggest throwing at a softer target, or ideally at log cross-sections. If you are throwing at oak log cross-sections (disks made by cutting an oak log twice through 3-4 inches apart), then you would be fine with these. They are not ideal for sticking in hard targets, however. 12-inch, heavier knives like the Expendables replicas available on Amazon are better for hard wood practice. Remember that a throwing knife is not meant for hard targets. The device just doesn't work well that way. These small knives are plenty durable for me so far, though. Just try not to hit any stone or concrete, and make sure you are throwing with good pace.

Answer:	I'm Novice at knife throwing. I've found that the center of blance is very near the edge of the para cord. However when held by the handle you feel a solid grip. I use a no spin throw and find the knive leaves the hand very smoothly with no drag on the handle as it leaves the hand as I would expect if the knife were handle heavy.
Question:	What sort of target do you recommend for these knives? Cardboard or some sort of wood
Answer:	Not at all. These knives simply did not want to work. They just sat there, motionless. I finally got frustrated and had to practically throw them into the target to get them to do anything. On top of that, I couldn't even find the battery panel to see if they were dead or just broken! Long story short, these knives simply don't perform short of manually hurling them at targets. I will definitely ask for my money back.

The edges of mine got banged up again due to my throwing them agains the concrete but the sharpened right back and are wonderful
