Question:	Is the current model that is shipping type 1 or type 20. If you look up the parts diagram the type 20 has a different slide mechanism part number
Answer:	I bought a new one today from a lumberyard and it is a Type 1. (says right on the sticker on the motor) Not sure if that means the slide mechanism is better or worse than the Type 20. I would assume it was made in 2014 because there is a "Dewalt use only" tag on the box which starts with 2014. Not sure if a "fresher" saw is a Type 20
Question:	Can xps be added, i know dewalt makes a kit to add it to some saws, but this model was not listed
Answer:	mmToolparts actually sells a kit (3 proprietary DeWalt parts + their wiring harness) for less than $70. They have videos on their website that show how to install the parts on DW716, DWS779, and DWS782 saws. You will need some additional tools (torx screw drivers or torx bits, wire strippers/cutter/crimper) and somewhat mechanically inclined. Just google "DWS779 xps light kit" and they should be the top result. This might be an easier option versus going to a DeWalt service center in the post pandemic world.
Question:	Does this miter saw come with a laser or any guiding system
Answer:	It does not come with any laser for guidance. You may find my answer a bit crude, I've been using miter saws for many years and the best guiding system I found to work is my/your eyes. Having lasers or no lasers you still need to use your eyes to get the work piece spot on near the cutoff point. Hope this helps!
Question:	Is there an LED cut line
Answer:	You can add the LED light to this saw. Not a laser but a shadow light that show exactly where the saw blade will cut. I just did it last night. Parts can be had for about $70. This basically turns it into a model 780 which is much more expensive. Pretty simple to add.

Answer:	While I am not familiar with the Delta saw, I can't imagine any reason why this blade would not work. It is a standard size blade and will work the same as any delta or other brand blade would work .
Question:	Any experience with exotic hardwood decking like tigerwood? How long does it last
Answer:	I purchased it for a cherry hardwood kitchen I was building, it worked flawlesly, but I've built many decks and this is much to fine a blade to waste on deck boards, tigerwood or yellow pine. Get a deck blade. It's a deck, outside, in the rain and sun. An hour after everyone sees your new deck they'll be too drunk to notice your cuts, as if they ever would.

Answer:	A little late to the party...but the kerf width requirement as stated in the question remains incorrect, and the answers provided still have no technical reason as to why it is okay to use this blade. For the DWE7491, the MINIMUM kerf width requirement as stated on the riving knife itself is 0.094" (not max as stated in the question). In addition to the blade requirements stated on the riving knife, from the Dewalt manual, "...riving knife thickness must be greater than the body thickness and less than the kerf width". In other words, blade kerf must be >0.087", blade body thickness must be
Question:	What is the difference between the P410T and the LU86R010? Both seem to be general purpose, 40 tooth and thin kerf
Answer:	Its all about the grind. The P410T has a new grind pattern that is far superior to the LU86. I originally had the LU on my table saw and found that it was good but less accurate (run out) and tend to burn woods like cherry and birch. And even though both are a thin kerf blade the P4 ran better on my under-powered Ridgid4512. At twice the price the P4 is far superior and I would highly recommend it. Hope that helps!
