11 best sliding bowling shoes
Sliding bowling shoes are a specialized type of footwear designed for the sport of bowling. They are typically found in the categories of Accessories, Bowling, Leisure Sports Game Room, Sports Fitness, and Sports Outdoors. Here's what you need to know about sliding bowling shoes:
Purpose: Bowling shoes are not like regular athletic shoes. They are specially designed to help bowlers perform their best by providing the right amount of slide and traction on the bowling lane.
Two Types: Bowling shoes come in two main types: sliding shoes and traction shoes. Sliding shoes are typically worn on the sliding foot, which is the foot that follows through in your bowling motion. Traction shoes are worn on the non-sliding foot to provide grip and stability.
Sliding Sole: Sliding bowling shoes have a smooth sole on the sliding foot. This sole allows the bowler to slide smoothly and consistently as they approach the foul line to release the bowling ball. The level of slide can be adjusted based on the bowler's preference and lane conditions.
Traction Sole: On the non-sliding foot, bowling shoes have a sole with rubber or a material that provides grip. This helps bowlers maintain balance and stability during their approach.
Interchangeable Soles: Many modern bowling shoes come with interchangeable soles and heels. This feature allows bowlers to customize their slide based on the lane conditions. For example, they can use a slide sole with more or less slide depending on the lane's oil pattern.
Universal vs. Performance Shoes: Universal sliding bowling shoes are typically designed for beginner and casual bowlers. Performance bowling shoes are more advanced and often preferred by experienced bowlers who want maximum control over their slide.
Comfort and Fit: Like any athletic footwear, comfort and fit are crucial. Bowling shoes should fit well and provide support for the feet during the bowling motion. Many bowling alleys offer rental shoes, but serious bowlers often invest in their own pair for a more customized fit.
Cleaning and Maintenance: To maintain their performance, sliding soles should be kept clean and free of debris. Regularly brushing or wiping the soles can help ensure consistent sliding.
Buying Considerations: When purchasing bowling shoes, it's important to consider factors like the type of bowler you are, your skill level, and the frequency of your bowling. This will help you choose the right pair of sliding bowling shoes for your needs.
Accessories: Along with bowling shoes, bowlers often use accessories like wrist supports, bowling gloves, and bowling bags to enhance their performance and convenience.
In summary, sliding bowling shoes are a specialized type of footwear designed to provide bowlers with the right amount of slide and traction on the bowling lane. They come in various styles and can be customized to match the bowler's skill level and lane conditions, making them an essential accessory in the world of bowling, especially in the categories of Accessories, Bowling, Leisure Sports Game Room, Sports Fitness, and Sports Outdoors.

User questions & answers
Question: | the title says for right handed bowler (left shoe) the pic and description say left - do you have the soles for the left shoe |
Answer: | I am right handed and have the sole on my left shoe. |
Question: | When asking left or right they are asking if u bowl left or right handed or foot u slide on |
Answer: | Actually, through us it is asking Right Hand or Left Hand to determine if this is for a Right Handed shoe or a Left Handed shoe. The slide is on the opposite foot from the hand you use but all the shoes and pads are listed by which hand you use and not which foot you slide on. |
Question: | Are these for womens shoes or mens |
Answer: | I ordered for mens shoes but I'm sure that they can be trimmed to fit any bowling shoe |
Question: | does this go on the right shoe or left shoe? I'm right handed bowler, slide on left foot |
Answer: | The right shoe for left handed bowler. So it goes on the right. I bought it by mistake myself once. So you wanna purchase the one for a right handed bowler. |

Answer: | I believe it would because, even though I am a woman, I wear men's size 11 for the width of the bowling shoe and it fits my shoes just fine. However, I must stress the word believe. |
Question: | Does this include one shoe slide or a pair |
Answer: | I haven't ordered it yet, but you only need 1 for the foot that ends in the front on your approach. The other shoe doesn't need to slide. |

Answer: | Size large fits fine for 81/2 Men’s shoe size |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the slide rating of this. Are there any available in a s |
Answer: | It depends, on dark fabric it does not dry clear. I am not sure if it will fix a snake leather tear in a shoe - not sure if it would be be tough enough and flexible enough for that application. |
Question: | how do you clean/wash these |
Answer: | We bought a set of this after seeing a commercial about it a couple years ago - it was a three pack, I think. I large, medium, and small one. We bought it as a "just in case" item and I have rarely had to use it - it works wonderfully. It's tricky though - and seeps through fabric so I would apply with a quick, light touch. It dries fast, too - a bit too fast for my. Anyway/// I hadn't used it in a while, but last year I needed to use it a couple of times on some fabric I was crafting with. The first time I tried to use it - nothing came out. I shook the bottle, but heard little movement and when I opened the cap I was disappointed to see that it had dried up - there was a thick skin inside. I thought I might go ahead and just use the bottle for something else so started to pull the thick, strong skin out and realized there was still some liquid on the inside (as it splashed on my hands while I was pulling at the glue skin). Once I was able to wiggle the dried skin out - there was some glue in the bottle and it was usable. After that I closed the cap and put it back on the shelf. The second time I needed it again - months later - the same thing - there was a glue skin covering the inside of the bottle that I had to remove and then there was some fluid glue on the inside that I could use normally. I was disappointed about that thick skin developing each time. I'm not sure how much of the glue is hardening each time, but it's enough to know I probably am losing a lot of this expensive glue just because it's drying in the bottle. I'm afraid to go look into the LARGE and MEDIUM UNUSED bottles that have just been on the shelf! Again, the product works a dream once you figure out how to handle it. Shame that it skins in the bottle though - hoping I didn't waste a ton of money. This may be something bought one small bottle at a time, on sale - unless you have a definite need for it. |
Question: | Could these be worn in a bowling leauge or professionally or only for practice |
Answer: | I think it depends on what parts of the muck boot. This product is primarily intended for adhering porous and semi-porous materials together, like fabric and leather. I really question its strength with smooth plastics, especially under stress. |
Question: | Can product be used on carpet for zumba |
Answer: | Yes, I think so if the jacket is cloth and not vinyl or leather. It works well if it can "grab" something to adhere to and it "grabs" cloth well. Remember, though, that it may slightly discolor fabric so keep the TM under the patch and don't allow it to bleed out from under it. Use a small amount at first and add to it if you need more. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I am right handed and thus slide on my left foot. Will this go on my left shoe |
Answer: | You would need to get the right handed slide pad. It is very confusing but on right handed shoes, the slide sole is on the left shoe and a traction sole is on the right shoe. So to replace the pads, you need to get right handed replacement pads. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these shoes for infants |
Answer: | No these are bowling shoes. They run big. May take 1/2 size down from what currently wears. |
Question: | Can I see the size of Littlekids size and bisquid size |
Answer: | I am not sure what you are asking about. The size is not on the outside of the shoes. There is a tag on the inside part of the tongue that tells you the size. If this did not answer your question, please restate and send back. |
Question: | Can I see the size of Littlekids size and bisquid size |
Answer: | I'm not entirely sure what you are asking, but ... "little" kids sizes run up to 13.5. "Big" kid sizes start at 1. My son is seven years old and is a size 1. I would say he is pretty average sized. Kids feet grow fast, so better to get something that might fit a little big. These are great, by the way, and you can't beat the price! |
Question: | I'm confused on the sizing. Is it toddler size to little boy size, or little boy size to big boy size? Trying to find a pair for my 11 yr old |
Answer: | This is toddler to boy size. So, the smallest is 12, the largest is 5. Might be too small for an 11 yr old. Look around for adult sizes. You can find some similar to these for MUCH cheaper. But for kids sizes, these were the cheapest I could find. They are great and I definitely have gotten my money's worth. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this unisex s8 work with size 10 1/2 sst 8 pro or do i need to get oversize s8 pads |
Answer: | This will definitely work. This is a rectangular piece of slide sole that can be easily cut with household scissors. Just take your old slide sole and lay it over the pad, trace and cut. It will fit perfectly to any size you need. |
Question: | Will these fit on SST8s size |
Answer: | These are not the oversized soles, if your shoe has the oversized it will leave Velcro exposed, but is usable. I would think a 14 would be oversized as my 11w is on my sst6, |
Question: | Will this slide work for the hammer boss shoe |
Answer: | It might. If the sole of the Hammer is velcro, this SST pad can be cut to size. |
Question: | How does this stick on? I have dexter Ricky II shoes |
Answer: | I don't know if the Ricky II shoe has the Velcro sole and heel, if it does you just take the old one off and trim the new one to fit then just press it on. |
