Question:	I want to bring a monocular to the beach to observe the dolphins, they usually swim about 100-200 yards out. will this work
Answer:	This 7X binocular is not suitable for your needs. The magnification is much too low and it has no eyecup, making it almost impossible to use in daylight. It is one of the worst purchases I ever made.For watching sea life at 100 yards or more you will need binoculars in the 20X range -- preferably a zoom model. I purchased a 12X -20X zoom binocular last year for about $25 . They are available from eBay (and probably also from Amazon as well).
Question:	Will this allow me to see the on screen text that is displayed on my TV from my cablebox such as the eletronic program guide? I have low vision
Answer:	It might. Sometimes I have trouble reading the satellite program guide from Dish Network without getting up from the armchair and the scope helps with that. But it depends too upon your TV set resolution. Cheaper and older analogue sets can be difficult to read fine text with -- even close up.

2. Ensure the LED lighting is switched on
3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Answer:	You shouldn't. There might be a slight shift, but I believe you can correct for it. We have used a few coins and they looked amazing! The light isn't harsh and is diffused well enough that it is even.

Question:	Do I need a computer or does it work alone. Can I put images on iPad
Answer:	No computer needed. This only works alone there is no way to store images or hook it up to the computer.
Question:	Can I use it for histology slides
Answer:	Yes, this product would be able to clearly represent histology slides. At the same time it will be a bit harder to use than a fixed microscope, One made for or around the concept of such scientific practices.
Question:	will this work good with plant trichomes? for example the cannabis plant
Answer:	Good question, i use it for the same reason. As for its function its a really small scope, so steady hands and good eyes(and patients) are required. It takes a little time to focus it but it does allow you to see when your trichs are ready. For the price its worth it but if you can afford a bigger better quality one i would go with that. The built in light works well though. The over all size of is a little bigger than a large thumb (if that helps at all).
Question:	I'm afraid mine isn't working at all. I can see the white circle but I can't see it magnify anything at all. Is mine broken or am I missing something
Answer:	It's probably working fine but you have to realize two things, it's designed for close work so if you have it too far away from whatever you're trying to view you're going to get the out of focus white circle. The second is if you have it close to or on top of whatever you were trying to look at you need to focus with the ring on the bottom. I thought mine was broken for a while until I figured out how to get it to focus. Finally you can also shift the focus when adjusting the magnification ring on top. If you change the magnification you will also need to refocus. Hope this helps

Microscopes are good for determining authenticity, looking for small scratches, pockets of certain metals, and other defects and irregularities that are not visible to the naked eye. For simply reading the text on smaller coins, we would recommend a standing loupe like those in our LumiLoupe series or our new VersaLoupe magnifiers.

The magnification is so strong on 60x, the mites filled the viewer Both smaller units work great for looking a mites. 60-120x seems to work great to see scratches in the metal blade of a knife

Answer:	It has both zoom and focus. In the picture, the black ring below the eyepiece is for one, and the black slot below has a lever for the other. It's been a while and I forgot which does which, but yes it does have both.

Question:	Is it waterproof
Answer:	I highly doubt it. It is a VERY cheaply-made device. It does not work. It is also VERY small, the lens is plastic and blurry. When I turned my light on, I was unable to turn it off. It eventually used up the battery and burned out. Useless item. I wasted my money on it. Bought my 5 year old a GOOD hand held magnifying glass for $2 at the Dollar Store, a year later he's still getting good use out of it. NOT RECOMMENDED!
Question:	Can small hand held items be viewed without distortion or does it require material to be on a flat surface like the MM
Answer:	This is only 20 power so it works fine hand held. As with anything like this, the more power, the less depth of field. At 20 power it's easy to hold things still enough to look at.
Question:	Is this too powerful (or too difficult in terms of say lens size) to use for splinter or bee sting removal

Answer:	Yes. You will need a small phillips head screwdriver to remove the battery compartment cover.

Question:	My mom hhas trouble reading menus in dark restuarants. Is the light bright enough to help in this situation
Answer:	Yes depending on her eyesight she should be able to read the menu just fine the led light is very bright and has three focus levels!
Question:	Have you found a way to remove old batteries to replace them
Answer:	Yes, right next to the button that turns the light on is a tab that you slide down (towards you) to expose the battery. Simply lift it out and replace it with the battery number facing up! Haven't needed to change mine yet!
Question:	how many lumens
Answer:	The LED Light on the Pocket Magnifier (PM-33) is about 5-8 lumens.
Question:	Is this magnifying glass good for someone with low vision and cannot see very well, who wants to read the numbers & letters on a remote control
Answer:	I am not sure because I can see fairly well. It looks like it would enlarge enough as I tried it on my remote and it enlarges the numbers a lot. The only problem I see is that you could only see I number at a time. I got it to read my prescription labels and to read menus in low light. It works great for that.
