Answer:	The charger is AC wall plug-in. I had a issue with the batteries dying.The batteries died completely because the flashlight was turned on in my backpack over a period of days without usage. They would not recharge. The seller sent replacement batteries and these batteries "drained" due to lack of usage, however they did recharge. So maybe some batteries are bad and I've heard these types of batteries have issues with their usage. Now I just regularly check the flashlight for operational usage. I'd hate to need it and the batteries be dead. Other than that no issues.

The Sigma 18-300mm 3.5-6.3 DC HSM OS Macro is another impressive addition to the Sigma Global Vision Contemporary line. With a 16.6x zoom ratio covering focal lengths from wide to telephoto, this lens also offers a 1:3 macro ratio. The Sigma 18-300mm Contemporary was designed for APS-C cameras where it equates to a 27-450mm lens and incorporates state-of-the-art Sigma technology. An enhanced optical stabilizer (OS) compensates for camera shake, while an optimized hyper sonic motor (HSM) ensures quiet and fast autofocus. Four FLD (performance equal to fluorite) paired with 1 SLD glass elements capture incredible sharp and contrasted images, all the way through the focal length. Utilizing top quality glass, the Sigma 18-300mm Contemporary controls aberration, even at the telephoto end to produce high quality images. Working with the USB dock, this lens allows for firmware updates when available and adjustment of focus parameters.

Sigma has developed special software (SIGMA Optimization Pro) that can update the lens firmware and adjust parameters such as focus.

Answer:	It is EF-S. I bought it for a full-frame camera because the description said EF. I am returning it.

Answer:	Yes, if you buy the Canon mount lens. It is a really good lens that is super sharp even at max aperture. It does have some barrel distortion, but so does the Canon 50 mm F1.4 lens for full frame. Canon does not make a standard F1.4 lens for the C chip Rebel line. This lens will even work on my old 35 mm film EOS Elan with no vignetting as long as I don't use the included Sigma shade, which is designed for partial frame Rebel cameras. I bought a really nice petal shaped 62 mm snap-on lens shade made by Vello for full frame cameras on E-Bay. I think the search engine in DE-Bay only finds the ad if you call it a 62 mm snap-on lens shade. If that doesn't work try "lens hood". It is one or the other. If you use the lens & it does not produce sharp pictures in dim light you are not using it in aperture priority set to F1.4. If you select program mode the camera will default to a slow aperture & then you can blur the picture from motion. I made that mistake. Once I switched to aperture priority & selected F1.4 the picture was perfect.
Question:	So with just this dock and usb cable connected to computer, you can adjust the focus without doing anything else. Just from what you see on computer

Answer:

I do not have personal experience with 18-250 sigma lenses, but there are two of them, one released in 2009 and the other in 2012. The later one is slightly better overall and in sharpness, but both are quite similar to the 18-300, though the latter has greater reach in telephoto range. In my experience, the 18-300 loses a little sharpness at 300mm, so I usually shoot it pulled back a small amount from that.

Answer:	The dock allows you to do software updates for the lens . It also allows you to do micro adjustments to focus . Some cameras allow this fine tuning adjustment, but only one adjustment per lens. The dock allows you to adjust at different focal lengths, not just one. If you have no focus issues with the lens and camera , then you probably don't need the lens dock.
Question:	Will it fit a Canon 70D
Answer:	No you must first take a series of test shots, I use a target mounted vertically as a focus target then a ruler set at 45 degrees. For each of the the designated focal lengths 4 on my zoom, and for three different focusing distances. A total of 12 pictures. Then download and decide whether the lens focuses in front of or behind the target. Lastly you put the lens on the dock and adjust the focus slightly in the needed direction. Then repeat the process until you are happy with the focus. Although a pain, it took me three hours, the focus is MUCH better now.
Question:	states Focus Type is manual_only....confused about this description - so no AF on this model
Answer:	No. By "full time manual focus" I think you want to know whether or not you can adjust the focus while leaving the lens in autofocus mode. You cannot.

Answer:	Like anything, the need is up to you. I have a dock for my Sigma Art lens, including the one you own. The dock allows you from you home with an Internet connection and computer, to update your lens software, and to correct front and rear focusing issues. Because Sigma is a third party lens company, making lens for several cameras, they don't always get the focusing right for every camera manufacturer. All of my Sigma Art lens (3) needed some correction. By the way, you have purchased the Best APSC (crop sensor) lens in the world! My Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 takes the 'Best' pictures of any lens I own. And, I own both crop sensor and full frame cameras and lens to match both.
