Question:	Will it work if it gets wet
Answer:	Yes. I have these on my boat survival kit and in every vehicle I own. Magnesium flares burn underwater. It may be a little hard to get the tender started if it is wet, but once the magnesium gets going, it will burn through water.
Question:	How long (or how many fires) could someone use just one of these products? Example..."good for one use/good for 10 uses" thanks
Answer:	Good for literally hundreds of uses. The magnesium is flaked off the "brick" with the sawtooth side of the striker and used to ignite a fire with a quick strike to the brick aimed at the magnesium flakes. It takes some practice but works everytime once you figure out the best technique. The magnesium flakes will ignite when sprayed with sparks and burn ultra hot to ignite whatever dry tinder or wadding you use to start your fire. Again - practice makes for a very useful last resort tool. Personally, I scrape off a small pile of magnesium with the saw provided and use my buck knife blade to scrape the sparker bar. Works every time.
Question:	I cannot get a spark from the black bar. Is that the flint? If so, I can't get a spark no matter what I strike it with, pocket knife, or the saw

One swipe and my tinder are lit. Sometimes, swear to God, I have to mind my fingers because of the many sparks! Answer:	You mean it's primary benefit over some other forms of fire starting. Answer: You could literally store this fire starter in a gallon water for 10 years and it will still work. It is a non-rusting metal (magnesium, 0% iron) that burns. It's the stuff used in flash bulbs on the old cameras. The flint on it's side is not diferentially permeable with water, so you always have a spark available with the flint and fuel available with the magnesium bar, even after a flood or rain. They aren't super-easy to use but they are super-reliable... And super cheap.

Question:	Mine had no instructions. How do you fill it, where do you fill it
Answer:	Unscrew the top being careful not to loss the little rubber gasket, this is where you fill it with the fluid (be careful not to over fill). To light a fire simply scrape against the flint on the side using firm strikes. Have fun learning to use your fire starter, I did. Remember to use caution!
Question:	HOW DO YOU FILL IT WITH FUEL
Answer:	I cant remember the exact method but i believe the fuel went in the top with the striker removed. That said i wouldn't buy this again. Mine leaked all over the place even with the cap tightly screwed down. The leak was coming from behind the metal plate glued to the plastic container.
Question:	Mine is burnt out after a couple uses can I pull the fabric out at all to get more flame time

Answer:	Low quality materials is why. The fact it is made in China is fine. They can make quality items just like any country can but if they use cheap steel then the whole point is moot. If you had this knife and your option was start a fire or die you would die. This knife is just for looking cool cool for someone who wants to try camping and only ever goes once. Question:	How many pieces in a box
Answer:	As everyone has stated they're not uniform so it's measured in pounds. Also it's about 200-300 sticks I'd guess. Just to give you an idea of how long a 10 pound box lasts, I would use 1-2 sticks per fire (3 if really windy) and would light 3-5 fires per week and the box lasted me about 6 months (I'm pretty sure at least, memory kind of fades me...). Long story short, I'm only on my 3rd box of this stuff in about 2 years time. Easily the best, most affordable fire starter. Although...right now it's $25, when I got mine I think it was about $5 less than that. I've also seen it for less in gardening stores. FYI
Question:	Do they product a lot of smoke
Answer:	No, they are really excellent starters...I have an electronic starter and these things light up like sparklers with the heated air blowing on them..they don't see, to give off a lot of smoke at all.
Question:	how many stick come in this 10 pound box
Answer:	I don't know but a lot of them, I have been using one box all winter, easy to start a roaring fire with 1 match, 2 sticks and one piece of paper. I use them constantly and sometimes cut one in half lengthwise with a small hatchet to get more use. There were at least 50-80 pieces. There are different qualities of these. I like these the best.
Question:	Okay, so I'm a fireplace newbie. What I want to know is, is this basically kindling? Do I need paper also
Answer:	I've done it all kinds of ways. In my woodburning stove, here's what works best: Layer crumpled newspaper, then 2 or 3 pieces of fatwood, then some small kindling, then some larger kindling. Once that gets going good and hot and the flue temp is 400 degrees or more, in goes a small log, then after awhile a larger one. At that point all you need is to throw a log on once in awhile. Fireplaces are a bit different in some ways, but the principle's the same.
