Answer:	Based on its weight. I doubt it's full tang. But I'm real impressed with its quality for the price. But full tang don't define the knife. Metal and workmanship does.

Answer:	just barely over 1/8 of an inch thick

Answer:	Sorry, I do not generally retain packing materials. The knife does have a Swiss emblem on it, but am not certain that it is Swiss made. I would conjecture that it is made in China. It is well made of "420 Steel." It should be preserved with either "Hoppe's Lubricating oil" or a coating of regular Vaseline.
Question:	does it have a 90 degree spine
Answer:	Yes, the spine is squared, however, the top of the spine, as can be seen in the pictures, is coated with black paint. So no, as it comes from the factory you will not be able to use the spine as the striker for the ferrocesium rod, but you can always scrape off the coating with sand paper quite easily (as I did). Also if using the spine as the striker for the ferro rod is the main purpose of your asking the question, for your information, there is a striker for the ferro rod that comes with the knife, stored in the pouch of the sheath. The striker also serves as the screw driver that you can use to unscrew the screws in the scales to access the chamber in the handle.
Question:	Can the screws be removed easily with a coin? like the screws on the wood handled version can
Answer:	Yes they use the same screws, you can use the steel stryker from the firestarter to unscrew the handle.
Question:	Does it work well for battoning
Answer:	I've beaten the crap out of mine (just to test the limits, given the low price) battoning through hardwood that I had no business trying it with (then I got the knife stuck in hardwood and beat it some more, as well as lifting the 20lb piece of wood by the knife handle and beating it against a log to free it--basically abusing the knife, and other than needing a bit of sharpening and scraping a bit of the black coating off, there was zero damage). I've had other, much more expensive knives fail with considerably less "torture testing". I'm taking it on a motorcycle camping trip tomorrow and will be doing a "knife field test" with mine for my Youtube, I'm not even taking a backup knife (something I generally do when testing an inexpensive knife). Especially for under 20 bucks, I'm seriously impressed with it.
Question:	what kind of steel is used and where is it made
Answer:	While the older models were made of 440a steel (otherwise known as 7cr13), the newer models are made form 3cr13. While 440a is considered to be an entry level steel for blades, 3cr13 might be an entry level steel for your mother's kitchen paring knife. 3cr13 has half the carbon of 440a. That means it will be softer and edge retention will be markedly less than even 440a. Bottom line, Elk Ridge cut some corners using a cheaper, more inferior steel and is selling it for the same price. When you read the reviews, keep the age of that review in mind because it might be describing a knife with better steel than is currently being sold.

Answer:	Although the width of this Tang is not as wide as the blade it is one piece of steel that runs the full length of the knife with the handle made of leather washers stacked and pressed tightly together and held in place by the pommel cap. Question:	Does the black tini coating extend fully to the tang (under the grip)? just looking for better water protection under a grip that can not be removed
Answer:	Both the and the case are mark (USA). Order to see the (made in USA )on the sheath you must open it up. Unlawful the lock by flipping it downward . Then squeeze tell two end pieces, and pull the belt upward. You will tan see the USA markings . Regarding the knife, the side with the thumb grooves simply says case. The reverse side says (USA 1015 6 1/2 S 2016 BESH. Hope this helps

Answer:	The k-bar 1216 hard sheath is for a blade almost 2 in longer than the bk7. Though I'm not an expert comparing photos of the two sheaths I would say that's a bk7 would not fit the longer sheath. If it were me I would order a replacement hard sheath for the bk7
Question:	Will this sheath fit the other Masalong karambits? Are all Masalong karmbits the same size
Answer:	It should fit the standard 7in ka-bar flighting knife. I have the D-2 version of their fighting knife and it fits perfectly. I'm going to let you know right now though, the button snap isn't the best. It's rivited to the fabric that you loop your belt through and it pulled through the rivet and the button snap piece came off. Telling you this I also have to tell you that I had my knife in the sheath without the snap (because it came off) and I was riding my 750 quad when I flipped it. I was thrown about 10ft, slid on my shoulder and 4ft, rolled on my shoulder, and then rolled to my feet. The thing that surprised me the most was not that I wasn't injured, but that the knife hasn't fallen out of its sheath. It stayed secure because it shapes into place. Over, all it's a good sheath.

Answer:	There are two straps that snap. I only keep one of them snaped. The knife does lock into the sheath, so it doesn't seem like you have to snap it.

Answer:	Blade length is 5.25" and total length is 9.25." Blade width is just under an inch. My opinion: Not too big or small; solid knife! If in doubt or have big hands consider Ka-Bar MK1 for about same price with blade length of 5.25" and total length of 9.25" but with larger grip and blade width of 1,1/8th inch. Both weigh the same in sheath. Slightly different blade and handle design so consider use or preference. Both are solid camping, hiking, survival tools. Hope this helped.

Question:	Is the sheath 100% nylon or is there a platic gaurd of somesort inside the sheath to keep the blade from cutting through the nylon
Answer:	No it is not spring assisted, it opens as though it is. Its a great knife and it opens with the flick of a finger.
Question:	How big is the belt loop for the sheath
Answer:	With knife in hand and blade down there is a red round lever on the right side. Pull that back and then slide the blade lock from where the blade folds to at the same time. And presto its closed.
Question:	Can you buy a hard style sheath for it

Question:	can you carry it without clipping to a belt
Answer:	Yes it does
Question:	Will you sell kydex sheaths on their own
Answer:	I have the black one, and the blade finish has held up. Note: I carry this as an EDC blade and do not use it as a chore knife. The handle material leaves a bit to be desired, but feels sturdy. I use a MTECH spring folder as my chore knife. Great little blade, stays really sharp.
Question:	Is this legal to carry in the state of Washington openly
Answer:	One of the best knifes I’ve bought .. way more than expected .. blade is over all 4” .. sheath fits awesome !!! Might buy another one
Question:	Could this be carried in Pennsylvania
Answer:	If any of the animals list are on top of you, this knife will not help you. This knife will pierce their skin but, you will most likely die. If there is a concern regarding large wild animals being on top of you, I recommend purchasing a firearm.

Question:	Is there a version of this knife that comes stuffed with garlic cloves
Answer:	That version was discontinued, sadly
Question:	Can you use it as a mini hatchet and strike the back of it with a stick or rock
Answer:	In a pinch you can use it for a mini hatchet a folding saw or a kukra kurri works better don't use a rock but a stick works well to get dry wood this is a fantastic knife so is the four this is a better woods knife
Question:	Can you strike a spark from a ferro rod from the spine of this knife? Does the coating interfere with the spark
Answer:	unfortunately you can not strike sparks with this knife. The coating is a very thick baked on substance that feels a bit like hardened rubber. Like very very thick cerekote or something of the sort. The coating is there to protect the knife because it is 1095 grade steel, it rusts if you look at it the wrong way. The coating prevents this and sparking a fire. I carry a high carbon hack saw blade with me and strike it on a fire rod, works wonders. keep the blade of the knife away from steel because it will chip the blade due to it being tempered at very high degrees.
Question:	What's the difference between 6P, 6P-B, and the other versions
Answer:	Colors of sheaths. 6P would be plain blade with a brown sheath. 6P-B plain blade black sheath. 6S S = serrated. CP = clip point / sharpened back spine

The ESEE-6P fixed blade knife features grey linen Micarta scales and a black finished blade with a plain cutting edge. Includes a coyote brownmolded sheath, clip plate, paracord and cord lock.

Care/Maintenance: ESEE carbon steel knives are made from 1095 steel. 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for – especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH.

Answer:	The blade is 3/16" thick. I removed the coating on the spine just to ensure it was a 90 degree spine. Awesome blade you wont be disappointed
