Answer:	No, the basket does not weigh 85 pounds. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to haul it around on the back of my trike. Although I don't have access to the source of information about its weight, I'd say maybe 10 pounds. 85 pounds may be the load capacity. I love the basket and chauffeur my 25-pound Scottish Terrier around in it.

Answer:	I think it can be. My son is not a big or strong kid but he has no problem steering it. The bike doesn't have much steering radius so it doesn't turn very much. The steering control are tied into one control arm.

Answer:	Hi, I know this posting is dated in 2015, but for anyone else with the same situation.There are better quality Trikes on the market, look at the KMX Trikes. They have a K-3 (for ages 4-10)and a Kompact (11-young adult) and Kompact R (made for rough terrain) that is for people under 5ft. They carry many different models...even for little kids, teens and adults. However, these bikes are expensive and you will have to purchase through a bike store or online bike store like Utah Trikes. These gloves can be washed by hand. Just lather them up with a mild soap, like hand soap or dish soap and then rinse thoroughly in cool water. Lay them down on a towel and place another towel on top - pat them down to get as much water out as possible without wringing them. Let them air dry by either laying them flat or hanging them up to dry. Make sure they are NOT in direct sunlight. UV rays can damage the gloves.
