Are the lures to small

They actually hold up just fine in the dryer. The problem is the fringe. It will tend to come unraveled over time. The solution is to take your trusty sewing machine, cut off the fringe, then hem them. I have many towels like this, purchased in Turkey from the weaver, and have done this with all of them. If you are in love with the fringe, I suggest you check to make sure the knots on the fringe are tight quite often.
