Answer:	Haven’t tried it on grass but it is certainly thick enough to work nicely on pavement. Most of these rubber mats aren’t designed for use on medium or tall grass.

Answer:	Matt weighs about 18 lbs. safe and no matter if on concrete or dirt, doesn’t matter. Withstands weather quite well.

Question:	Do you find you have to choke up on your irons to hit the ball consistently? Should I buy a standing pad that is equally as tall to level it out
Answer:	Frequently while playing golf you will have to stand higher or lower than the ball. The idea is to learn to lengthen the arc of your swing with your stance or your arms. You may want to choke up a half of inch or so on the highest pad, but I prefer to learn to hit the ball with slight differences in the height.
Question:	Looking to use in backyard. it is stable on grass
Answer:	I have not hit balls off the mat while on grass But have made “dry” swings on it. Doesn’t move. I mostly use the mat on top of the mats at my courses range. It works GREAT there. Better then hitting off concrete hard mats.

Answer:	Not really. If you try to use something beyond the far turf, such as something that will take a tee, then it will cause some stance alterations.

Answer:	It is a durable, fairly realistic mat. It won't fall apart and although not like hitting off real grass it still has a good feel. It's not bushy like rough, it's more like fairway length. It's a good product and works well to hit into a net.
Question:	dimensions
Answer:	I don't have exact dimensions but I'd say perhaps 14" x 4.5". Don't be fooled though it's very dense, surprisingly heavy, sturdy etc. The base is a heavy rubber that I've found simply doesn't slip around and the hitting material is excellent, tough, dense. Almost makes you better than you really are. Great product.
