Suunto was founded in 1936 by outdoors man and a keen orienteering enthusiast, Tuomas Vohlonen, who had long been bothered by a problem: the inaccuracy of traditional dry compasses and their lack of steady needle operation. Question:	what size wrist does the standard black rubber strap fit
Answer:	My wrist is ~8.5", maybe a little more. The Vector band fits my wrist on the last hole. There is not enough band left to fit into the sleeve intended to secure the end of the band. The Core band is about 3/4" longer.

Answer:	I have been researching the Suunto Core All Black to find the best price for purchase. One of the key features needed is an alarm clock, but I could not find any definitive information as to whether it had one or not. Even the Suunto website and manual was not very cut and dry with an answer. I contacted Suunto customer service and asked about this function (pf which they responded in the affirmative), but I also asked the comment made here stating Amazon purchases are not honored via warranty. Suunto stated this is COMPLETELY FALSE! Amazon IS an authorized reseller. You need only keep your receipt. Finally have this issue/question clearly and easily resolved after so many guesses since 2013!

Answer:	Ha, although I like the previous answer, I feel like I should add that it will alert you when a text comes through plus the first several words of the text. Kind of like you phone alert does. So if it is a short text, it will show it all on the watch face. I am also an avid hunter/fisher so I love the features of this watch, but I am also an instructor in the Army and sit through meetings almost all day it seems like. And the alert feature helps a lot with not having my phone on the table vidrating half the meetings and I know when I will need to step out or not.

Suunto Accessory Watch Straps - Silicone

Many Suunto watches come with a strap made of hypoallergenic silicone. Silicone feels soft and comfortable against the skin and the material is easy to clean, making silicone straps ideal for swimming and sports where you sweat a lot. Mostly used in our older watches, elastomer straps are a bit stiffer than silicone ones, but also suitable for high output activities.

Quick Release Technology

Suunto straps with quick release mechanism are easy to change. To detach a strap, pull the spring on the underside of the strap to release the pin to remove the strap.

To attach a new strap, first insert the pin on the opposite end to the spring mechanism into its socket, then pull the spring and slip the other end in place. Release the spring and assure the pin goes all the way into the socket.

A tool is needed to remove your watch band if it does not have Quick Release Technology

Care Instructions:

Regularly take the watch off your wrist, wash the watch and the strap with mild hand soap and water, rinse thoroughly and dry it well with a towel before putting it back on.

We recommend washing the watch body and the strap after every heavy workout

To remove build-up of lotions and oils (such as sunscreen, insect repellent and moisturizers) that can be trapped beneath the strap: use mild hand soap, rinse thoroughly and dry well with a towel.

For tough spots, stains or buildup, scrub with a wet, soft-bristled toothbrush.
