Answer: | Hold it out with arms straight and use it,it's a bit awkward until you can handle it right. Move it in closer to your chest and it will work different muscles that way. I noticed a difference in about a week. I do about 30 reps rest do 30 to 35 more then rest and then I max out as many as I can you will feel the burn. I slowly release it before I bend it again it keeps resistance and gives better results. I start closer to my chest after straight arm. You can hold it over your head and work your shoulders I do the same reps as my chest and I can tell the results. I also noticed that standing with your legs a little past shoulder length has built my thighs up and my beer gut is even being worked and now I can see the top muscles that make up a sixpack starting to show some. I go two to three days then rest one and start over. I am on no diet,yet, and still have been losing weight and shrinking my stomach. I found a diet i am going to try that you do for 7 days and they say you can lose 10 pounds but no exercises during the 7 days. You will be very happy with this item I am very glad I bought it. |

Answer: | I don't know the exact weight resistance of the spring initially in it but it is VERY soft. Pumping or squeezing and holding this spring is more of an aerobic exercise - expect to be able to do 100 or more. It comes with 2 additional springs that are very easy to change - no tools required. My biggest complaint with the unit is that the progression between springs is extreme. The first one is probably fine since it would be good for weak children and people well into their 70's and 80's. The next level up is quite stiff and resistive requiring some degree of strength. The final spring feels like a steel bar to this 60 year old! |

Answer: | It provides little direct exercise for the forearms, though they are involved with holding the equipment. There are exercises that have a strong effect on the adducter and abducter muscles of the legs, but the other exercises are less effective than conventional leg exercises in my opinion. I found this to be exceptional for waist work as it hits the abdominal muscles and obliques from a somewhat different angle and stronger resistance than most abdominal exercises allow. I only use my steel bow for isometric work so I don't know if isotonic exercises would be equally effective. |
