Question: what is the best pump to buy for inflating the ball

Answer: The Green Thera-Band Pro Series SCP Ball is 65cm (26").

User questions & answers

Question: Some stability balls have very potent smells secondary to the material. How does this one fare
Answer: Never noticed any smells other than the smell of the vinyl when I first opened the box. Nothing after that. Great ball.
Question: What size is the ball
Answer: It is 55 cm.
Question: will the inflation adapter fit a presta valve pump
Answer: No, neither presca nor schraeder. There is simply a hole in the ball which has a plastic plug that fits into it. You remove the plug, and fit the nozzle of the plastic pump into the hole. After you pump the ball to the desired inflation, you remove the nozzle and fit the plug back into the hole, very quickly so as not to lose much air. It's very simple.
Question: To deflate or add more air how does one remove the plug? Using pliers on another brand, it won't budge but damages the plug
Answer: The TheraBand Exercise ball comes shipped with three solid white little tools. Two are for air insertion, depending on air pumps available to you. The third is nose remover. It is flat on one side, slightly rounded on the other. It looks like a flat tear drop with some of the center cut out to produce two prongs. Slide the rounded side against the ball and the prongs, if you will, and you can work it up nicely. The tool works great and does not scare the ball. I routinely inflate and deflate without difficulties. Hope This Helps.

Question: What is the size
Answer: 75cm
Question: I have severe balance problems. How do i go about using this product? Thanks

IF you go to a good one, they can give GENTLE exercises which will slowly strengthen your muscles, (if you stick with it & do them), which can help you with your balance...Some P Therapist aren't great. Talk to people u know that work with them... Always tell your P Therapist if something feels not right, or is starting to hurt, & they can then omit those exercises DO NOT attempt to use a ball like this on your own. You could get hurt. Always use a good P Therapist's advice. You don't want to lean on the ball & fall & hurt yourself. Hope this is helpful.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this ball easy to deflate when I need less air for spine and diaphragm exercises
Answer: The ones in my purple one are solid. They hold and do not split apart. I use four times a week and they have been most satisfactory.
Question: Is it inflated
Answer: I don't think so. It feels too soft, the cotton ones are harder. It stretches slightly and bends easily. I'm still using it for Iyengar classes, and it works fine. For home I got myself the real cotton one with the square buckle, which I prefer much better.
Question: How long does it stay inflated
Answer: You make your own loop using the d rings like when you put on a belt so the loop can be as big as an 8 foot circumference or as small as you want it.
Question: What are some exercises i can do with this
Answer: 1 3/4 inches

TheraBand Mini Ball

Whether you’re looking to enhance your core workouts, tone certain muscles, improve your flexibility, stabilize your balance and posture, target a specific muscle for injury rehabilitation, or achieve an effective full-body workout, the TheraBand Mini Ball can help you accomplish your goals. It’s perfect for performing physical therapy exercises in a clinical setting and a great addition to any home exercise routine.

You can also incorporate the Mini Ball to increase the difficulty and effectiveness of yoga and Pilates programs. The included instructional poster helps you create and learn an exercise progression to meet your objectives. The Mini Ball is a fantastic exercise tool for athletes, patients in physical therapy programs, and others who wish to improve their balance, flexibility, strength, and overall health.

About This Product

The Mini Ball has a 9" diameter, which makes it versatile, easy to handle, convenient to transport and store, and suitable for users of all ages.

Material

This exercise ball is made of soft, flexible PVC that responds to touch, even when fully inflated. The durable material is non-burst and non-slip when used on a hard surface such as the floor or wall.

Abdominal Muscles

The Mini Ball supports a variety of different core-strengthening exercises. The reverse curl-up, pictured above, targets the lower abdominals. To perform this exercise, lay on your back, put the Mini Ball between your bent knees, and lift both knees upward towards the ceiling. Lift your buttocks while keeping your shoulders and arms flat on the ground, hold, and slowly return to the starting position.

Abdominal Oblique Muscles

Abdominal oblique curls target the oblique muscles, which comprise two of the body’s four abdominal muscle groups. To perform this exercise, lay on your back and put the Mini Ball under your lower back. With your hands behind your head or crossed on your chest, slowly lean back over the ball and twist your trunk, contract your abs, and then return to the upright position. Repeat this movement on the opposite side.

Lower Back Muscles

One way to strengthen your lower back and gluteus muscles is to do prone hip extensions. For this exercise, lie on your stomach and place the Mini Ball between your ankles. Lift your legs upward, hold, and slowly return to the starting position. Be careful not to hyperextend your back when lifting your legs upward.

Full Body Workout

The Mini Ball is unique in that it facilitates a broad range of exercises and can be used to achieve a full body workout. In addition to core strengthening exercises, you can also perform a myriad of upper and lower body exercises for muscle toning, strength building, increased balance and flexibility, and injury rehabilitation.

Shoulder Isometrics

As the shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, it is especially prone to injury and pain. Simple isometric exercises help increase strength and prevent injury. To perform shoulder isometrics, stand near a wall and place the Mini Ball between your arm and the wall. Without moving your shoulder or breaking contact with the wall, push your arm outward. Repeat in different directions against the wall.

Deep Neck Flexors

Those with postural neck pain or a history of neck or upper back injury can benefit immensely from strengthening the deep neck flexor muscles, which play an important role in stabilizing the neck. To exercise these muscles, stand near a wall and place the Mini Ball between your forehead and the wall. While keeping your neck and back straight, slowly nod your head downward and roll the ball with your forehead.

Hamstring Curl

Hamstring curls are a great dynamic strengthening exercise for hamstring muscles, which are located in the back of the thigh. Lie on your back, place the Mini Ball under your feet, bend your knees, and pull your heels toward your buttocks. Return your feet to their starting position, and repeat the movement.

Wall Push Ups

From the small muscles and ligaments in the hands and wrists up through the joints of the elbows and shoulders, wall push-ups help increase overall upper body strength and stability. To perform this exercise, place the Mini Ball against a wall and hold it at shoulder level with both hands. Bend your elbows and lean forward, stabilizing yourself on the ball. Keep your legs and trunk aligned while pushing up, and then slowly return down again.

TheraBand Hand Exerciser

TheraBand Hand Exercisers are specially formulated exercisers for hand, finger and forearm strengthening, as well as hot and cold therapy. Use the Hand Exerciser in rehabilitation routines to treat a number of hand injuries.

Size and Resistance Options

The standard size Hand Exerciser is designed for smaller hands and the extra large size for larger hands or for people who have limited hand mobility. Progressive resistance in different levels of compression allow for a customized therapy routine.

Hot or Cold Therapy

The TheraBand Hand Exerciser can be heated or chilled to assist in hot or cold therapy programs. To heat, simply place in the microwave for a few seconds. To chill, place the hand exerciser in the refrigerator for a couple hours.

Better Than Putty

Unlike putty, the Hand Exerciser allows full range of motion with consistent resistance throughout the range and returns to its natural state. The softer yellow and red models fill the gap between putty and spring devices and are mess-free.

The TheraBand Hand Exerciser can also be easily cleaned with warm, soapy water, so you never have to worry about dirty putty.

Other Rehabilitation Options

The TheraBand Hand Exerciser can also be added to foot and toe rehabilitation. Use the Hand Exerciser to strengthen toes and treat plantar fasciitis and other causes of foot pain.

Endless Exercise Possibilities

These suggested exercises are designed to strengthen muscles in the hand, wrist, and forearm and can be adapted based on your needs and abilities. Challenge yourself to progress to the next resistance level in each exercise!
