Answer:	Yes, this system does lock at any depth. It works great.

Answer:	Determine a suitable location for the installation of the Anchor Mount / Rope Guide Assembly and Anchor Rope Reel Assembly. Make sure that these locations have enough support for the loads and space to properly mount and use the product with clearances for the anchor rope to move freely during use. For watercraft with decks or no opening in the bow plate, a 3/4 inch hole may be necessary to be drilled directly beneath the rear roller of the Anchor Mount / Rope Guide to provide proper routing of the anchor rope for your application. Attwood recommends the use of swivel pulleys and guides to help route the rope to properly utilize the Anchor Lift System by keeping the rope clear of obstructions and to avoid undue chaffing and wear on the rope and the system.

Question:	Can the deckhand 40 handle a (12" x 8" box anchor with a 18" connector rod)? (box anchor) weighs 22 lbs and is awkward with 18" connection rod
Answer:	The Minncotq deck hand model you are asking about has specific specifications. The spec's say the anchor need to weigh: a minimum of 25 pounds to a maximum of 40 pounds for it to operate correctly. I'd stay within these perimeters. Your 22 pound one might work. It is very close to the minimum. weight . You could try yours first. If it works fine. If not then purchasing one at 25 pounds will. You might decide to use large linkage chains for an anchor, or a bell anchor, or the typical looking anchor with dual sharp ends. Depending on your waters. River or lake. I tried my 15 pound anchor and it did not work. So I purchased a 25 pound one and it worked. How you hook up your anchor to this system's synthetic rope is your choice. Using proper methods. It is up to you to add what ever you need to add the anchor to the Deckmate rope end. Clearance from you boat bow or deck boat deck is for you to figure. I put mine on the small aluminum end piece of my 12 foot Alumacraft boat. I made a pattern for the screw holes from the base plate and made the marks on the bow plate. I used stainless steel bolts, nuts and lock washers.

Answer:	The outside diameter is 38mm. The radius of the sheave (that fits the rope) is 15mm. It was designed to fit up to a 1/2" rope.

Answer:	We do not specify a specific life. We build the SpinRx swivel pulley with very high grade components and the design is robust. We use anodized aluminum for the large components, we use stainless steel fasteners and the bearings are stainless steel sealed bearings. The tangle free swivel pulleys are assembled in Bozeman, Montana by Zigco. The product has been tested by many boaters over the years.
Question:	What are the dimensions for the swivel and what size rope will the pulley accommodate
Answer:	The length of the swivel pulley is about 5 inches. The width is 2 inches at it's widest which is the middle of the pulley sheave. The pulley is designed to accept ropes up to 1/2 inch diameter. 3/8 inch slides the best, but 1/2 inch is easier on your hands when pulling the rope. We use 1/2 inch on our drift boat and raft. Answer:	I installed mine on a 185 Bass Tracker. I had to get a new relay when I first got it but thats the only problem I've ever had with it..I removed the braided steel cable and installed a 1/4" braided nylon line. which has worked like a Champ.

Answer:	Hi Mr. Albert,It really depends on the conditions of the river and also the weight of your boat. This unit will retrieve a max anchor weight of 35lbs but TRAC recommends not going over 30LBs as often sticks and mud can come up with the anchor adding additional weight. If the river is a very strong current then it might not be sufficient. So the bottom line is will your boat be held in place in the rivers you anchor in with a 30LB anchor (it is also recommended that a river or mushroom anchor be used) ... Answer:	this was the worst piece of junk i ever bought for $150 it didn't last a year. the last straw was when the plastic gear stripped out. i bought a TRAC power anchor at the fleas for $5 it works great all steel gears makes more noise when pulling in.
Question:	The anchor goes up and has stopped going down. Is there a trip or something that I am not seeing
Answer:	It's more than likely that the plastic gear inside is stripped out. I ran into that problem a couple times. These anchors are made cheap and dont last. You can find the parts online from minnkota dealers. You'll have to take it apart to figure out what needs to be replaced.
Question:	Will this be able to pull an 10 pound mushroom anchor out of a lake with muddy bottoms
Answer:	Mine does. It kind of labors at first and pulls the boat to where the anchor is but never fails to raise it. I have had the anchor rope run off the spool and wrap around the winch shaft though.

Answer:	Yes, rock jetties catch everything. That said, tie the line to the other end of the anchor, then tie the top of the anchor to the line with 50 lb test line if the anchor gets stuck give it a good hard tug breaking the 50lb line, and pulling the anchor out backwards.

Answer:	The 5.5 lb anchor by Airhead (Prime) came with 50' of line machine attached. It is a nice heavy duty anchor, and it arrived in less than 24 hours from ordering.

Answer:	I just measured the length of the rope very accurately. I placed 2 pieces of masking tape on the side of my boat exactly 3 feet apart. I then pulled 17 three foot lengths and there was 1 foot remaining. Math tells us the (3 x 17) + 1 = 52 feet. I can unequivocally state that the actual length of the rope is GREATER THAN 50 feet in length from the attachment point on the anchor to the clip just above the red buoy.

Answer:	I believe it’s stainless. It works well for a larg jet ski but nothing larger. I wouldn’t recommend it for a boat!!!

Answer:	I use a stainless steel carabiner. It’s been perfect for me in how I can take down my Gear and snake it through my anchor trolley.
Question:	Would this be a good anchor for a Wave Runner on the Gulf
Answer:	It's not that big at all I keep mine on my kayak
Question:	Would this work in the ocean with an inflatable kayak or my Hobie 16 sailboat
Answer:	It is plenty for our 12 foot Jon. Although we haven’t had to put any stress on it.
Question:	Could I add a longer rope and chain to this anchor
Answer:	2-11/16" square X 1-7/16" deep--panel mount. This would be the behind dash mounting measurements (panel mount). Over all mounted height,with knob-3", if you were to mount it on the outside of dash. Can be panel mounted by drilling a 52mm hole (2.1"). Wire access through any side.The control knob which cannot be removed whilst in the ON or OFF position, however can be removed by switching to anti-clockwise 45 degree position. Hope this helps
